  10. This is my preferred way. I have been to the Canyon Ranch spas in Arizona and Miami and the Pritikin at the Doral in Miami. Not to do the quit smoking but to do spa stuff. http://www.spaindex.com/special-features/stop-smoking-spa-programs/
  11. No way Evelyn, you are ok and safe. Smoking is not going to be even good after three months. Deep breathing, deep breathing, Think about how you felt at your Baptism, what a joy, how connected you must have felt.
  12. Earlier in my quit I spent a great deal of time thinking about being a social smoker. I thought and thought and longed for it. I thought about people I know who do this and I would tell myself that I can drink without being an alcoholic so I will just smoke on occasion. Like when I go out, or when I am on vacation. . But this is not for me; this is junkie thinking. Hell, I can't even cheat on my diet without going berserk for a few days. If I cheated by smoking, I would be a smoker again, and all of my work would be reversed. Right now, for a few months I have had complete freedom. I drank also last weekend and even then I did not want to smoke.
  13. I have come on this board and admitted to smoking thoughts and visions of cigs at 13 months quit. It was not an sos as I did not let it get to this point. I know that this train and the other place helped me so much because I felt that I would be letting people down if I smoked. , I did not want to disappear and have people feel bad. ...T The idea of an sos is good because most of the time of course you are feeling a short term, overwhelming crave. People talk to you; you remember why you wanted to quit, and the craves die down. I am not the type to ask for any help in the real world. I have come to see that as a weakness that I need to work on. One should never feel to proud to post an sos even after years of quit

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
