  4. Sorry to hear you had a struggle. It must be tough because of the other shite you're going through. Sometimes you're just not thinking with your practical brain so posting an SOS may not even occur to you. I'm glad you found your way through this episode and hope that you don't have a repeat experience any time soon. I do believe these urges or craves or whatever you want to call them will become less intense the longer you remain quit. Yes, you have 8 months in but it will be even easier when you are 1 year or 1.5 years. It's still getting better for me and I'm over a year now. I can't begin to factor in the other issues you're dealing with though. I just pray they don't somehow become a catalyst to you ever lighting up again. You've come too far yourself and you are held in pretty high regard around here as well. You know there's lots of peeps here that would come running to support you, anytime, day or night!

  16. Yup! A day at a time Nikki! That's the way we all get there. Be sure to go to the daily NOPE page and pledge your commitment to not take a puff just for this day. It's a great way to start your day. Commit to yourself and all of us to be smoke free just for today. Before you know it, you will be smoke free for life
  17. Oh Boy!! You Did IT! A huge congratulations to you Jack! This is such a special occasion You will no doubt be very proud of what you have accomplished and rightfully so. Now's the time for celebration - wild and crazy celebration. If you have done this - just imagine the possibilities going forward! Well Done Mate! Lido Deck Awaits!
  18. Embrace the yuck in the early days because that's what will make you want to protect that beautiful quit as you shape it and come to call it your own
  19. Why did I always think you lived in California - lol!
  20. Jays dump closer Osuna to the Astros! I figured they'd get him out of town asap after he was charge with beating his woman friend back in May or June. Although he has yet to be convicted, there's no appetite here for "alleged" violence against women. He's done in this town regardless of the reality of what may have happened. It's unfortunate because he has a lot of talent. I guess we'll see how this all plays out. Jays are in "rebuild mode" anyway so might as well clean house

  22. OK...... OK! I'm gettin' the place all "Ship Shape" and ready for yer "fancy boys" entertainment show!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
