  1. You're right to stay focused on just the here & now rather than looking too far ahead in terms of the challenges but I think what Jillar was saying is that you know from having gone through this before that the quitting thing is actually a much longer process than just the first few weeks when things are VERY dramatic in terms of what you are experiencing. That said, you may be through the physical flushing of nicotine from your body, which is good but, the mental adjustment is what really takes a long time. And yes, just focus on the here and now for that mental reconditioning is what I would recommend. The issues you face will change anyway as you progress. Dealing with them as they come along works fine. In the end, as you know, it really is all about the long term NOPE commitment. That's what will lead you to a successful long term quit Keep noping & keep posting!
  2. That's right Kate - an hour at a time or even a minute at a time early on. That's the way to do it
  3. Fivers (that's better )

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
