Agree 100% - we hate to see people willingly jump off the train and yes; it's a conscious decision one makes to either continue their quit or go back to slowly killing themselves by smoking! If you truly WANT to quit and are having a hard moment - post up on the SOS page. That's what it's there for. You WILL get responses and fast. All you have to do is hang on for a few minutes and someone will give you some useful input. Can't count how many quits have been saved by SOS posts. Sadly, even more lost when no SOS is posted ?

The comments you have above are great Rhino! This is very common and I know myself, I was pretty much a shut-in the first while after I quit. It's bloody tough as hell at times and exhausting and yes, not in a good mood at all because of the changes going on but - that doesn't last forever and it's part of the dues we must pay to be free again. Grit your teeth and push through Rhino. We have all been there and made it through. You can too. Stay close to us here on the board because you will get inspiration from these fine folk. That's invaluable in the first part of your quit

Great post Jo! You're absolutely right on the mark too! Most, if not all of us, will be challenged by something going off the rails in life during the early stages of our quits. Yours was a number of extreme and unusual situations but your point being that sooner or later the resolve of our commitment will be put to the test and that's the moment that separates the men from the boys and the women from the girls. Just because we stopped smoking doesn't mean life stops for us but, it gives us the opportunity to prove to ourselves just how strong we can be when something is important enough to us. I'm sorry for all your troubles Jo but I'm also glad you made it through those times smoke free. That will be a shining light for you forever. You will forever know you can do virtually anything

Yeah so what's the deal with Joe Buck anyway? He seems to get all the primo sports announcing gigs in the U.S. Big games for baseball and football I think yet he clearly isn't well liked or respected in sports circles from what I can see here in Canada. We get the US game feeds here but thankfully, we have our own announcers, most of whom are X-ballplayers so as a rule, they aren't talking out their ass.
