  1. I couldn't have said it any better. Congrats, LB. This is awesome!
  2. lol Good ol' Gomer Pyle. Golly, Shazam!!
  3. I couldn't agree more!! My morning coffee with cigarettes I thought was Heaven. What a joke. Heaven is drinking my coffee and reading the posts here or sitting on my deck breathing the fresh air.
  4. Welcome, Jackie!!! I can fix your ticker in your sig if you want me to.
  5. What Bassman is saying (correct me if I'm wrong, Bassman) is that there is no what if's when it comes to quitting and that it's best to understand nicotine addiction to beat it. When you understand and believe in your quit, all the "what if's" are removed. I think I feel another song in the making...
  6. We look out for one another here so you have many people who have your back with this. I have your back. Whatever it takes, we'll help you kick this damn addiction the hell out of your life for good. This is your thread. Come here to vent, bitch, cry, scream and laugh. If you need an SOS, post it in the SOS board so it's front and center and doesn't get overlooked. For right this moment, know that you can quit and stay quit. This is a fact.
  7. If you expect to go bat shit you will. I did not experience any of the 3's, but some people do. I prefer this rule of 3's regarding quitting smoking and everything else in life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEnHzV9XpL0
  8. Not sure if you guys are clicking the small calendar on the right, but you need to click on the hook (link) named calendar which is on the same row of hooks as chat, gallery etc. From here, you have full access to the calendar. If you put your birthday in your profile, it's automatically added to the calendar. I'm working on having everybody's quit dates added to the calendar if that field is filled out in the profiles. Please let me know if you're still having issues using the calendar. :)
  9. LB you're far too kind. Perhaps I should change my name back to MQ. :)
  10. HM!!!!!!! The woman with the infectious smile is here. :)
  11. LB!!!! Very glad you're here. PS, love your avatar.
  12. Welcome! You want to feel warm and fuzzy? El Bandito will call you a sexy beast like he did somebody else. hahahahahaha I still laugh thinking back when I read that the other day. Glad to see you!
  13. We have a big jar of lollipops here at work. Are you a member of the lollipop guild too? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XzFNLJIpUQ
  14. Glad to see you Melody. You're always a voice of reason. :)
  15. LOL Welcome Soozie. I like the cut of your jib. :)
  16. Nancy is one of those people that makes you feel comfortable and you can share anything with. Great sense of humor and her compassion and empathy runs deep. I agree, our Nancy is da bomb!! :D
  17. Hey now, I can't be getting choked up at work. Wait. Yes I can because I don't care. Great video!
  18. We're a blessed community to have you here. All the musical talent aside, you're a good man and we're all a little better for it.
  19. Congrats on 3 months, TAC!!! Welcome to the Quit Train!
  20. No sir. You're allowed 100 likes per 24/hrs, instead of the default 10. I can increase or decrease as needed but 100 is a lot. lol I also disabled the negative points function because it would never get any use around here anyway. :)
  21. Agree 100,000,000 x 50. Our mind is so powerful.
  22. How is your quit going? You should be a little over 24 hours into your new quit. I hope you're well and if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask for help.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
