They're ditching a bunch of Dr. Seuss books after they formed a 'Board of People With Nothing Better To Do' who decided that certain of his books were now inappropriate for kids. Of course! Dr. Seuss books turning kids into hateful criminals for decades now - Geez! It's the same with all the ruckus over sports team names and what not. Ban the Tomahawk Chop!! Let's make sure those horrible sports fans don't step on any toes while celebrating 😮 We have a football team here in Canada called the Edmonton Eskimos. WAIT!! OMG; Eskimos? What were they thinking. That's a horrible name to call an Eskimo! We gotta make them change that name right away! Here's the literal translation: "Eskimo" is derived from a Montagnais (Innu) word ayas̆kimew meaning "netter of snowshoes." I'd be seriously crushed if someone called me "netter of snowshoes"! How dare you!! Geez people. Take a pill and loosen your sphincter a little. Let's maybe spend more time trying to eliminate poverty in the world. You know, something actually important!

It took them a couple of months, but they finally figured out that no one in Bradley County gives a shit about political correctness.

I was told in school that the one in Tennessee is named for Colonel Benjamin Cleveland, a hero of the Revolutionary War. I'm not sure if the one in Ohio is named for the same guy or not. And I vaguely remember that Cleveland, Georgia is where those Cabbage Patch Kids dolls were originally made. This post is going nowhere and I'm starting to ramble.

If you have any of 'em, hang onto them for a while. Collectors items big time!! The wife got the last box of this stuff with her photo on the box and is saving it. The name stays for now but her image has been fired! Poor old Aunt Jemima 😞 I been looking at her happy face for many decades now and never once had a thought about her color. March 4, 20215 yr I think it's an unfair burden to put on any sports team to 'force' them to change their name; why? Because there's a deep and rich history inherent to any sports franchise. Most go back decades and it's all attached to the name of the team! When you rip that proud history from the organization, you're tearing it's heart and soul out. That certainly will have a hallowing effect on that organization and that's not fair when they have to take to the field of play every day going forward with other teams who haven't had their soul ripped out of them. It really does put that team at a disadvantage, at least psychologically 😞

I feel like taking away all the reminders of our violent heritage only helps to set the stage for another holocaust. I too think we should leave some symbols in place to remind us, to spark curiosity in the young, so we keep talking about it and don't forget.

April 12, 20215 yr I'm not the most tech savvy person and still use a flip phone but omg, my sister won't get a new phone because she doesn't want to lose the voicemails my mom left. Even I know that my voicemails aren't actually on my phone and I've told her that several times and she still believes they're somewhere on her phone! Now my husband decides he needs an iPhone for a car stereo in his classic car and discovered he can go online with it even though its not activated and him and a friend decided it would be a great idea to delete all his inbox! Wtf is wrong with people?! That's his business email with very important stuff on it so imagine my shock when I went on it to check his email and found his inbox empty! Luckily I was able to restore it all for him but who's he going to get to save his sorry ass after I'm gone?! I guess as long as the alimony comes I don't give a fruck!

April 17, 20215 yr FU*K!!! Looks like this summer is a wash out now! Daily Covid case counts doubled this week over previous week. Projecting exponential growth for next 2 months. Our daily case rate in the Province was at about 1,000 per day. Now at 5,000 per day and expected to be 30,000 per day by end of May. Lockdown order extended indefinitely now with emergency police powers added to stop and detain anyone outside their home. $780.00 fine if not going for groceries, medicine or medical care. All schools closed indefinitely. All personal services, dining/drinking, exercising facilities closed. All outdoor sports activities banned indefinitely. All playgrounds, parks, camping and boating facilities closed. Not yet clear whether curbside pick up for goods is still allowed or not. May be delivery only for non-essential goods. Work from home only for all non-essential workers. Provincial borders closed so no one in or out excepting commercial transport of goods. Next few months gonna be interesting😵 Yee-ha! With little vaccine available we riding the monster now!
