No NRT 2 days

Featured Replies

Hello my clean -smelling, fresh breathed, non smoking friends:) I hope your all having an easy day.....if you hold on tight and know your not alone.  Today is my 2 day of no nrt and I think it has finally sunk in, I don't need nicotine it makes it worse.   See how I go..... enjoy your Saturday I am going too

Gabby I am so happy to see you in such good spirits. Getting free of addiction is a big deal, and something you should be pleased about. :) Might not be easy every second of the day, but it's sooo worth it.

Gabby, good for you! Getting off the patch was a big step for me but once I did I was truly free

Gabby, you are an inspiration to people everywhere - showing how's it's done! I am so proud of you!!!

Gabby, you ROCK!   I found that when I did that it was a little uncomfortable for a few days, but in the end getting all nicotine out of my system is what made me feel so much better!  You got this girl!

It gets even better Gabby. You'll see and feel it.

Keep A Knocking  :)

Oh, Gabby, that is great news!!  And you are definitely not alone!!

fantastic news gabby!!

have a great weekend yourself :)

This really is fabulous news!!  It may temporarily make the craves worse but you've already proved you can deal with those. Hang tough to whatever got you through.  Within 72 hours the nicotine is completely out of your system, how amazing is that!!  Also are you taking sips of fruit juice every few hours? Over those first 3 days without nicotine our blood sugar levels can dip as our body adjusts.  It can make you feel tired and that in turn makes you think it's a crave when it's not always.

You are really owning this quit Gabby and I am so pleased for you. How are you feeling at the end of the day 2 without the nrt (should be your eve now I think)?

xx

Hey Gabby - congrats - love how positive you are sounding ! a0d0423989cfe63dbac86525c36d6b54_zpsff34

Well it's 7.30 pm and I am still feeling good, the day did at times seem long.  But every time I craved, I just did something.  I can safely say that day 2 will be over soon.  Thank you for all your help and kind words, keeps one going.

Day 3.   Last night I did some on line shopping to treat myself.  Today feeling a little restless, like something is missing.  Took my mum to the shops for a her birthday treat.  Spend heaps on treats for me again.   I can not wait for today to be over.  But not as bad as last time, I have a different attitude after going back and reading Allen Carr"s book.   Hope all are having an awesome Sunday :D.

That's so crucial isn't it, that attitude.  Really pleased you have it to guide you through.  Ultimately it's just a phase of the quit, and real uncomfortable, but passable. Actually not sure passable is a word lol, think I made it up :)

Good on you treating yourself too. Why not :)  We all love a treat and those Kiwi cigs were really expensive so it must be nice to see some funds, plus all the savings from the quit of NRT to come. So happy for you Gabby, hold on because you're doing great.

I'm getting there, the days just seem a little long, you how it goes cleaning, cleaning doing things to take your mine off it.   A little bit grumpy and short with people too.  And it's school holidays and it's been raining for a few days.  My son has a friend staying too.  I think they think I am quite mad, always jumping up trying to do things (talking to myself).  But grateful to be healing myself with no nicotine.
