August 23, 20215 yr Ok folks I thought I would share, I have had both my vaccination Moderna. . I have shared not feeling well, I went and got tested a couple days ago came back negative. Well yesterday I was feeling worse and my fever spiked again. So I checked with my urgent care and they wanted me to get rechecked. Well it was positive this time!!! WTF I have been careful not going much and masking when I am out. So be carefull out there. Hopefully it will be mild. I am home so that's good. Just so pissed.
August 23, 20215 yr Oh no @Linda, I was worried yesterday when you said you were feeling worse again. Do you know how you could have gotten it? Im thinking positive thoughts for you that it WILL be a mild case. Thank goodness you have both your shots!

I did have to go and get a cat scan which was done at the hospital. Everyone is masked including any one entering the hospital. I had to contact them and they do contact tracing You had to sign in there as well as everyone came in supposedly they have had no issues. So I'm quarantining for a while. Luckily I have not been around any friends lately. I sure am glad I have not seen my friend who is sick. I would have felt so bad if I had even though she has been vaccinated. Just pissed and why the hell would I want a smoke WTF

August 24, 20215 yr So sorry you're dealing with this, Linda, and very, very glad you are vaccinated. Hoping for the mildest of cases and for the silver lining to be that now you know why you've been feeling bad and it will all be on the upswing from here. Take it easy and treat yourself to a life of rest and relaxation until you've kicked this to the curb.
August 24, 20215 yr Like Ace said drink plenty of fluid, don't forget to eat which can be hard if you don't feel well. I hope you have friends or family near that can drop off care packages. Delivery services are available for so much if you need it. I used grocery delivery when I was recovering from hip replacement and it was great. Keep us updated and I hope it will just be a mild case. K
August 24, 20215 yr Hope it's a mild case @Linda since you have both your shots. I've read reports of people testing positive only to test negative 3 days later so don't know how the tests work.

August 24, 20215 yr Well, that sucks. This new variant is so contagious. Hope you recover quickly. I barely go out, even though I am fully vaccinated. When I do, I wear an N-95 mask. When I was at my house, alone, the last 10 days, I used Door Dash to order meals, when I didn’t want to cook. It scares me that so many people are carrying on like Covid is over. It is not! August 24, 20215 yr Author Well folks today has been a pretty crappy day. My temp has come down some. I'm trying to stay positive but its a struggle. It could be worse at least I'm home and not in the hospital. Feel like I have been run over by a mac truck.I hope some learn from my experiences this shit is not over. I don't want to live in fear, but we need to be careful and take steps to protect each other. Even if you have been vaccinated your not fully protected with all the variants out there. The Delta one is very contagious. I have been very careful and not been out much so I am living proof it is real. So all be careful and safe out there!!!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a little better the antibiotics should be kicking in.
