  1.   My sides hurt from laughing so much! When I lived with roommates, their dog used to sit on the hardwood floor and fart. All you'd hear is squeak, squeak, squeak and you'd know she was farting! Worst. Smell. Ever.
  2. Happy Thursday everyone! :) I have lots of cleaning to do around the apartment today, but my little brother's coming to stay with us for a bit! He lives two hours away, so it will be nice to see him.
  3. Oh Babs, I'm so sorry. Thinking of you and Diesel. Big hugs to both you and him!
  4. Hey Amy, I know everyone's said this already... I'm kind of late. Sorry! Distractions are key to a quit. I probably wouldn't have been successful without something to keep my mind busy. However, you seem to be much more confident in your quit, definitely more than I was. Distractions are still good though, because struggling with the thought of smoking can be exhausting on anyone. Read a book, eat, drink lots of cold water, take a walk, watch a movie, post on QT (just like you did).

    my day

Aw Rachael, what a shitty day. :( I'm sorry to hear you had to go through so much crap. Hopefully tomorrow's a better day and your doc appointment goes well next week. You're in my thoughts!
  6. Woohoo, congrats on your week Amy! Glad to hear things are going well. :) I saw that you have been craving a bit. Good on you for posting here and letting us know what you're struggling with. I assure you, the cravings will pass and will become less and less as you get further into your quit. I know you've got it in you to stay quit girl! Rooting for you. :D
  7. D'awwww, he's so cute Julie. You've got me grinning ear to ear over here.
  8. Going to the doc's soon. Yikes!

  9. I'm Canadian myself... I'm a decent person! I would never call anyone and scream in their ear, lol. The only time I ever yell is when someone continuously provokes me. Or unless you are Steve (my BF) Unfortunately, he gets yelled at whenever I think he deserves it, lol.
  10. Oh jeebus, I was stupid and clicked the link. I haven't even seen that movie yet, lol.
  11. The other place is delusional if they think Action is mean, lol. I would like to know what their definition of mean is. Actually, the Canadians were pretty bad. Apparently, we're feisty when pissed off.
  12. I love this band and they're Canadian!
  13. I used to work in a call centre. We spoke to people from the U.S., Canada, and all over Europe. The English were hard to understand sometimes, but they made up for it by being super polite. :) They don't do "angry" well over there.
  14. This song's originally by Miley Cyrus and I hate it, but I don't mind Bastille's version. Bastille could sing Tiptoe Through The Tulips and I'd probably like it:
  15. Haha, I love that movie DD. This is my favourite song from Frozen right now:
  16. Welcome Susana! Happy to see you and congrats on day 5. :D
  17. Congrats on 10 months Lynn! Fantastic feat. :) You are doing great. WTG and KTQ! :D
  18. I'm not a big fan of lasagna. I don't know why... maybe it's because my mom used to make it a lot for my little brother? But the meatballs and sauce is making me salivate! Lol.
  19. Sounds like heartburn Hell, but yum!
  20. So happy to hear you aren't getting them as much Colleen! Sinus infections are brutal. Tracey, I'm the same way. I can smell everything, good and bad. Sometimes I wish I couldn't smell as good as I do, lol. People stink!
  21. Here's to hoping all is well! Send us an update soon IAmDoingIt!
  22. Powerful images HM and very true! There are no benefits to smoking whatsoever. We have been lying to ourselves for years. Quitting now could save you from years of pain.
  23. I like the list too. Comes in very handy! :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
