  1. I honestly would of done it that way too. Might as well take advantage of the bonus hours. Hope you feel better from the stomach bug and any anxiety that may come. You have said it yourself. Stay busy and stay close to here. I believe you got this and can do this! Fighting for our freedom feels good!
  2. Was not sure where to put this so I guess right here will do....for whoever needs this today
  3. Yikes days like that it always a relief to crawl into bed and call it a day. I so happy new days come and that you successfully got through the day minus the not helpful smoke!
  4. This exactly right here! Perfectly explains it. I still working on what to do with those 2 extra pages. Filled them in a bit with exercise and walking but for sure there times I just sort of blank and lost. I confident though that time will help with that and hopeful it will.
  5. Day 37 - Have not been able to play my silly little game food truck chef since I quit.....well at least not to the level I did before my quit....cannot beat or even match my score/time on the game now lol....whelp that going to be what that going to be...in good news I did put away at last the pad of paper I was keeping on the kitchen counter to keep track of every thing...literally everything.... mom's medicines and time....my one cat's meds and feedings for them....my own stuff....I had to make a complete check list of everything to get through the days....I could not think or concentrate what so ever....so the pad is gone (by a week now)...that makes me feel a little more confidant that I can manage again
  6. Congrats Jenny 7 years that is awesome!
  7. Hi Chris....welcome welcome will be cheering for you the whole way! Thank you for joining and sharing with all of us too!
  8. Getting hot out now (ugh summer has arrived in GA) so I am making my morning walk longer, no longer walking in the afternoon and evening and now exercising along with fabulous50s (think Doreen or someone here mentioned her?) really am liking her and how positive she is. https://www.youtube.com/c/fabulous50s
  9. What are some channels you like or kept you busy through your quit? Kara and Nate have kept me entertained lately and feeling calm https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4ijq8Cg-8zQKx8OH12dUSw
  10. Breath in ...breath out...thank goodness for good sleeps and waking to new days! We all know if we cave in it not going to help and we going to feel even worse....yet even knowing that....the struggle is very very real....so glad you got through again.

  13. Day 33 really want a cigarette today. Has been a good day...there no reason to be wanting one....feeling better than I have in sometime and here I am wanting a cig......just to go sit out back ..light one up ...not going to...just going to blow a few or more breaths out and in ...ugh it a window licking kind of day!
  14. Welcome BmoreRaven glad you joined here with us. I with the others here please do see your doctor. I was recovering from a upper respiratory infection and bronchitis when I quit (don't even want to talk about the GERD). Maybe you need a inhaler for a bit to see you through. I am sorry of the anxiety...I do not wish that on anyone that is tough tough scary stuff...that is why I started walking so often and it really did help me.....I call them my sanity walks Best wishes and again welcome!!
  15. I think you doing great...when I started walking I could go 4 houses down and back...does not sound much but sure felt like a lot to me now just weeks later I am taking a half hour walk (after each meal) 3 times a day ...I feel like that is enough ...though I did add in a online exercise class yesterday and laid in bed this morning thinking why...whyyyyy am I so sore today?... then had that oh yeah moment..................lol
  16. 33 days ago I did the same (though I only had a mask on) when I got out of the store I would take it off and light up.....here on day 32 of freedom I glad that not me today... this hour this month
  17. Well you had 12 years on me (I never quit before now) and I only day 32 now....I think that counts as a newbie still all of us in this together and good news is always welcomed!
  18. I so happy for you Robbie! Foods seem to be tasting sweeter to me these days. Why sweeter I not sure. Keep going you so got this!!
  19. Welcome Reynjoe glad you joined and found us.
  20. Thank you Katgirl! Not going to lie I was scared too. You in a good place to be for quitting there a number of us here within those first days, weeks months and year. I take great courage from them.... their journey and all the longer quitters here who offer their experience and wisdom. Like you I made and am making small changes to my choices for my health (Rome was not built in a day) Those choices and changes really are paying off and helping. My blood pressure the last few days has stayed consistently within the ideal range (I am super stoked about that) to all those here who fight anxiety, depression and who got on the quit train ....who fight and fought your way through....I have such mad respect for you....truly warriors one and all. This is not easy and it is down right hard and scary at times. How great there is a place like this where we can draw courage from one another and just say out loud when we struggling that we are struggling.
  21. Day 29....currently suffering the thought of....no...wait wait wait a minute....mosquitoes never liked me before?? Always prided myself that I was not the one mosquitoes went after.....always it was my daughter and mom they go after as I sat around...walked around oblivious to their attentions.......well guess who back on the menu as a non-smoker......me lol dang it!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
