  4. Good morning @Steven Drojensky... I came accross this old post from you. I have no idea how you are doing and I hope you are keeping your quit. Please check in with us and let us know how you are doing.
  5. HAPPY Friday... its time for all of us special window lickers to pat ourselves on the back for another smoke free week. I bet Austin Powers was probably one big ass Window Licker. Who is ready to join the man of mystery and strut accross the stage as a Certified Window Licker????
  6. @Wendy.... Happy Beleated 10 years...... Thanks for reminding us that one day, this will feel like our new normal life.
  7. Hi @Kdad... I think we do have to quit the desire to smoke. I think Joel is partially right. Long term non smokers occassionally want to smoke BECAUSE they have not truely addressed their inner desire to want to smoke AND they still believe that smoking can somehow make them feel better. Here is a snippet of a quote from my quitnet library that sums up this idea. You should not be trying to quit smoking. That's only a symptom. You should be trying to quit craving, because craving is the only way that smoking can happen. But even craving is only a symptom. The real problem - what you must "quit" - is your belief that an instant spent with a lungful of poison is superior to the same instant spent with fresh, clean, pure air. That belief is an error, and it's the source of every craving you've ever had. You have an awesome quit @Kdad... keep posting and keep reading.
  8. Good morning @Penguin.... well I certainly can identify with letting go of favourite junk foods. I have the same issue. Maybe we can support each othe and make a committment. How about we both commit to not eating junk food for one week, until next Friday.... and try to replace junk foods with other healther snacks? I am going to give that a try this week. Are you in?
  9. HAPPY Friday... its time for all of us special window lickers to pat ourselves on the back for another smoke free week. The Church Lady from Saturday Night Live was probably one of the biggest Window Lickers on the planet. Who is ready to join the Church Lady and strut accross the stage as Certified Window Lickers????
  10. Welcome @joan.... I can't add anything to the good advice you have received here. I'd suggest sticking close to the Quit-train for a while and reading as much as you can and let us know how you are doing. Good for you for getting right back on track with your quit. Regards, Gene
