  19. Welcome second chance and congratulations on eight months smoke free. Your anxiety could be totally unrelated to quitting and actually something that was masked BY smoking. My advice to you would be to schedule yourself a Dr visit and tell them your concerns. Hopefully once you get a clean bill of health you'll be less anxious. Or your Dr may want to put you on an anxiety med to help you.

  21. Are your ears ringing?
  22. Del, never smokers will never understand how nicotine addiction works or how hard it is for a lot of us to successfully quit. You will get that support here though. We understand what you're going through. We will lift you up when you're down and celebrate with you on your milestones. I didn't have a lot of support either. Everyone pretty much thought after a month I should be over it. But the forum was there for me. I stayed glued to the board everyday. I found the support I needed and also found that supporting, celebrating and socializing with others really helped keep my mind off my own misery. You can do it, I promise. Oh and don't worry so much about the weight right now. One thing at a time, the weight can come off later.
  23. I'm having a brewski and it tastes good! ?
  24. Congratulations on 11 years Markus!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
