  1. There's nothing in your signature. You need to make a new one, copy it and then paste it into your signature box and then click save like you did before. Your old ticker is gone, I deleted it so it won't revert back
  2. Congratulations Dogbelly on one week quit! We normally call the first week Hell week but I don't think that applies to you lucky guy! Keep on with the keeping on, you're doing awesome
  3. Aww man Steven, I'm really sorry to hear that. Glad you're getting right back on your quit. We're working on the ticker issue and hope to have it resolved soon so in the mean time you'll need to delete the old one and create a new one in order for it not to keep reverting back. I can delete your old one for you now but you'll need to create your new one and paste it into your signature. Oh and don't forget to change your quit date on your profile page too

  21. Imagine if we were characters in a video game and cigarettes are our opponents. The object of the game is to be the sole survivor, the winner of the grand prize- A LIFE TIME FREE FROM DAMAGE! Like a lot of video games you get three lives, in our game they're called relapses. Each relapse causes your character to become weaker and weaker from the effects of smoking and your opponent seems to be winning. So you fight a little harder but still not hard enough and you use another of your relapses. Now you're down to your last life, you've used all your relapses and should you fail this time its game over. That's how all of us should think about smoking. None of us know who among us will get a smoking related illness and some of us already have one or more. And some of us paid the ultimate price with our lives.

  23. Glad to have you back @Linda and congratulations on ten days quit already. You're almost half way through the hardest month of them all. Now for some tough love: I quit smoking cigarettes in 2016 because of breathing issues and at that time told I had asthma by my pulmonologist. Unfortunately I found out the hard way in January 2020 when I had respiratory failure from a virus I caught that I have severe emphysema and am on oxygen at 56 years old! This addiction is deadly, we know that but its also brutal in that instead of dying I get to spend my days attached to an oxygen leash. Don't be me! Keep your quit now before you do become me......... I know you can succeed, you just have to believe you can too
  24. Well I tell you @blissvixen you never want to ignore heart problems. I really would give your dr a call and get it checked out if for nothing else but peace of mind.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
