  1. That's my outings too @Linda. Doctors and blood tests what fun lol. So least we're all in this together and God willing we'll all come out of it together
  2. Dogbelly, like Jeff @JH63, I also quit with Chantix years ago and made the mistake of only using the first month of it thinking three weeks quit was enough and I didn't need it any longer. WRONG, I pretty much instantly relapsed once the drug was out of my system. So please stay on it for at least the minimum recommended time of three months. Some have even stayed on it as long as six months but three is what works for most
  3. I promise you Linda that as time goes by it will get so much better. Once you hit that one year milestone you'll be thinking "that wasn't so bad". You got this girl!
  4. Bump for @Linda and anyone else who may benefit from it. Although all of our quits are different they are all the same in that we quit a nasty, life threatening addiction..
  5. Good luck Chris @Cbdave, hopefully the third times a charm
  6. Watching Prodigal Son, if you haven't seen it you're missing out!

  15. Linda, just wait until you wake up one morning and you don't think of smoking first thing! I'll never forget that first day, it was so awesome that FINALLY the constant everyday thought wasn't there! We want you to have that too
  16. Try reminding yourself Linda that "this too shall pass". I said that over and over again in my early days. I also kept reminding myself that there was no way I wanted to have to go through those crappy days again! You've done it enough to know you don't either so use that as fuel to propel you forward
  17. Total classic! I love it too

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
