  1. 5 ... whatever they asked for but it was a glimmer and sparkle party so there was lots of glitter... I did a couple of unicorns and then one girl asked for her whole face to be a rainbow with glitter and when I was finished she told me she was a unicorn poo.
  2. 7 tell your granddaughter she will ahve lots of fun swimming cos there are no sharks at the pool. Hi Fluffy... I worked today doing face painting for 4.5hrs and now I am all sore and ache so I had a tablet to relax my muscle cos all my back was cramping but now I am a bit out of it...
  3. Great post Givvy... and just think they are going up again another 5% in June. I am sorry your health has suffered. Hopefully things will improve and you never need to take the disability pension. Does you super have a provision for a partial pension for disability if you have to work part time. I know my dad's did when he had to look at the option.

  9. Ah the foggies... they do clear though. Keep up all your great work... someone might be out there reading this and your words about how much easier ti is than you thought are goign to convince them to quit too..
  10. Oh that's sucky.... so I am answering this based on the fact I have to eat it over and over again.... Family Faves .... cos like all fatties I have emotions attached to my food and the emotions attached to food is usually good (except for spag bol ad pizza)... so family faves (for flavour it would be import food) Cooking Curry: Slow cooker or stove top?
  11. Thanks mate, but you have got to meet me on a pretty sane day... some days I communicate totally in Strine (Aussie Bogan Slang) which can be a tad hard to read if you don't know the sounds its meant to represent or the slang... I'm always happy to offer a translation though so never be affraid to say what you on about you crazy convict? I think you mob at QT are the only ones who get to see that stuff and I haven't written like that since before I smoked... so there is another thing to be greatful for being Nicotine Free... my brain works better.
  12. ^^ K for Kennedy yeah? L.... hmmm..... L is harder than it should be... do I have an L..... OH... got it... C.S. Lewis for giving me a whole other world to escape to when i was a kid and that was what I needed.... yep, hero to me.

  14. Lucky for me I haven't gotten into trouble for my foul mouth cos I swear heaps. But I do try to tone it down and sometimes I have to be creative with spelling. Most other boards I've been involved in (maybe 3) it has not been appreciated. I have to remember that this is open so most anyone can read what is said and that could be kids. If a word is bad it will automatically sensor like this ***** .... but pretty sure if it was a major issue you'd get a nice cyber tap on the shoulder and a reminder to play nice.
  15. Yep... we had a great teacher in primary school (had a lot of great teachers in primary and some in secondary) who twice a term would make us draw a name from a hat of someone he thought we should know about and then we had to research it and do a presentation to the class... so effectively we learnt about all of the people. They were usually people who had fallen through the cracks of history into obscurity, deservedly famous in their day but forgotten by time... it was the best 2 years of schooling I had (grades 5 & 6) because he was such an inspirational teacher.
  16. oops... eager beaver Was going to say St Joseph for J because... seriously in those days who takes the word of a preganant teenager that your engaged to and you know you've never slept with her that she's pregnant and still a virgin and its a miracle from god... either the biggest fool in history or the greatest, most loving caring man ever...like to think its the second which makes him a bit of a hero for sticking by her and being dad to a kid that wasn't him. Well done St Joey.
  17. Invented? really? or just gave it a name.... bit like Straya init... sailing along and bump into a huge frickin lump of dirt..."OH look what we've discovered (dutch and french did it first but the dutch landed where dessert meets sea and when nah its shit and the frogs landed at a swamp and did the same) lets call is Australia and send all the riff raff here... let them escape from an island. Bravo well done chaps, ok off to name something else now..." That said great choice. Albert "Bert" Jacka - 1 VC & 2 MCs in WW1 - cos his heroism makes me proud to be an Aussie... and Charles Bean reckons it should have really been 4 VCs but the brass weren't fans. go here for more info: https://www.awm.gov.au/visit/exhibitions/fiftyaustralians/26
  18. I like to call mine the heinous b1tch... but nicodemon is popular. You call it what works for you...
  19. Hey Mike and welcome. I started my quit journey over there and remember seeing you post. Welcome, and I'm sorry you have been feeling anxious but glad you didn't listen to the craves. So glad you hunted us out for that extra bit of support and there are a wack of newbies and half-fartes here (like me) who would love all the support and advice we can get. So welcome.

  21. ^^ How frickin amazing was he... thumbing his nose at the church and the authorities because he had an idea and then he went about proving it... thank you Galileo. Harper Lee She wrote To Kill A Mockingbird.... one of may all time favourite novels... I saw the Gregory Peck film as a 7 year old and borrowed the book from the library and have read it every year since at least once for the rest of my life to date.... so thank you Harper Lee (not so impressed with the sequel, I know why it was hidden away)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
