  6. That's fantastic Marie It sounds like you will be traveling so just try to check back in with us when you can and let us know how things are going. Remember, you can vent, cry, curse and scream all you want here. We understand because we've all been there. Try deep breathing exercises when you feel the anxiety building. That will also help distract your mind from cravings. Keep in touch please. We can help you along.

  17. I don't deal with high anxiety or panic attack issues so I can not give you any advice in that regard but I have read posts from others on this board who do suffer from these issues and have managed to quit for long periods of time and virtually all have said the same thing. Their level of anxiety after they had quit was much lower than when they smoked. Anxiety created because of smoking is just that .... it's because of your addiction to nicotine. It's a never ending cycle that starts up again the minute you put out that cigarette. That smoking anxiety just gets added on top of whatever other anxiety issues one might have. This smoking thing only makes everything else worse in our lives. Do whatever you need to and get this out of your life. It will be the best thing you have ever done
  18. Good stuff Jack! Just keep doing what you're doing and before you know it, we'll be celebrating your 1 Year quit
  19. Congratulations tocevo! 1/4 year smoke free is great! Celebrate this accomplishment because those first months aren't easy to get through at times and you've done it! I think a nice treat might be in order?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
