  1. 6. Use it for hair dye?
  2. Good to hear from you @Jane and really good to hear you're still fighting the good fight. Hey; we get it! Yes it's hard in the early days & weeks but you're a little over 1 month in now so you have a lot of blood, sweat & tears invested in your beautiful quit so please do keep it up. You'll get there as we all did and when you look back on it all, what you'll remember is what a great thing you did for yourself. Those bad moments don't seem so bad in hindsight. Keep at it Jane, as there'll be more and more good days and fewer bad days the longer you stay quit.
  3. @Pilgrim; you're gonna absolutely LOVE your life of true freedom once your quit is better secured and those nagging thoughts of having a smoke are completely non-existant. It happens slowly but it DOES happen so yeah, stick with it and keep that thought of Freedom in your head particularly when you get those cravings to light up. It just ain't worth it! And I can tell you that the junkie part of your brain may be fading now but it will still jump up and bite you in the ass every once in a while over the first several months so always be on guard - ALWAYS!
  4. Nope! Still fighting the Nicodemon every day!
  5. Congrats @Jane on day 23 somke free! Isn't it nice to be able to smell delicate fragrences again? Yet another benefit from quitting. I still get almost embarrassed when I think about how I smelled to others as a life long smoker and the whole time, I didn't see it myself. Keep up the good fight - you're making wonderful progress Your primary focus right now is your quit. You can deal with the weight gain later. I agree with Pilgrim though that getting a little more excersize than you normally do will help. Even going for long walks can help.
  6. Congrats @Pilgrim! 1 month is awesome. Let's get month 2 done and remember what happened around that point on previous quits to thwart your efforts & what you plan to do differently this time around to succeed. We're all pulling for you

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
