  2. That's disappointing news Gene You'll need to consider the circumstances that allowed you to think having a smoke was necessary and make a plan for how to deal with the same situation should it happen again. 9 Months and now starting over again can't be easy and I'm sure you're regretting what happened but put all that aside and get yourself back on the train where you belong! You've had a good taste of freedom from smoking now let's make that permenant!
  3. Congrats of quitting @Quinzee! You've almost got your first month smoke free underyour belt and that\'s something to celebrate! Live your life as normaly as possible and keep as busy and active as you can at all times. That will lessen the cravings. Idle time on your hands just sitting there thinking allows your mind to fbe occupied with thoughts of smoking - romancing the cigarette and that's NOT what you want. Learning to live without everything being punctuated by having a smoke takes time & effort on your part but the longer you go without putting that smoke in your mouth, the more natural it will become and before you know it, smoking will just not be part of your daily life and you'll wonder why you ever smoked in the first place!
  4. Good job fellow Canuck!! 3 more months to the Lido Deck. Keep up the great work!!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
