  9. Doing GREAT @Breath-of-Power!! That first week is something else. You're getting everything thrown at you at once and have to develop methods of getting through it all that work for you. Keep up the great work! We're here when you needs us for asking and questions you may have or just for venting any frustrations. And remember, these tough early days WILL get better the longer you don't smoke!

  14. There were times over my life that I was just out of cigarettes or just literally didn’t have the means to buy cigarettes, but the one thing I refused to do was to bum. I just couldn’t make myself do it. There was a tiny part of me that just refused to totally debase myself and beg for cigarettes. Pride? Fooling myself into thinking I had some control over my habit? A part of me desperately fighting against being completely owned by my addiction? I don’t know why, but that tiny part of me and QuitTrain are the reasons I am celebrating my 3rd anniversary of being free! You can do this. Stick around!

  17. Think about it. You are now officially a non smoker. You quit smoking 2 days ago. Carbon monoxide is now out of your body In 1 more day your body will be nicotine free. You are no longer a smoker unless you decide to start smoking. Congratulations now you just need to remain a non smoker.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
