  1. I don't follow the NFL much but it seems to me that in a BIG game like this, pretty much anything can happen. I guess that's true for most games but, the surprises seem to come out more often when the stakes are high. I don't think anyone would deny that Brady is a force to be reckoned with. An amazing athlete to be still doing what he is after so many years playing. There won't be another like him for a long while I expect. Even a football moron like me knows that. And by the way, why do they start this thing so late (at least in my time zone). Could they not play it on a Sat. when we don't have to get up at 6:00 AM to get to work the next day? Geez!! I need my beauty sleep

  2. Jetblack, rude all you want. Personally, I don’t care. All I care about is whether you smoke or not. Don’t. Don’t romance the cigarette. It’s not “relaxing“. Don’t want a cigarette. You don’t smoke anymore.

  3. How do you feel about a friend who has to go everywhere with you? Not only does he tag along all the time, but since he is so offensive and vulgar, you become unwelcome when with him. He has a peculiar odor that sticks to you wherever you go. Others think both of you stink. He controls you totally. When he says jump, you jump. Sometimes in the middle of a blizzard or storm, he wants you to come to the store and pick him up. You would give your spouse hell if he or she did that to you all the time, but you can't argue with your friend. Sometimes, when you are out at a movie or play he says he wants you to go stand in the lobby with him and miss important scenes. Since he calls all the shots in your life, you go. Your friend doesn't like your choice of clothing either. Instead of politely telling you that you have lousy taste, he burns little holes in these items so you will want to throw them out. Sometimes, he tires of the furniture and gets rid of it too. Occasionally, he gets really nasty and decides the whole house must go. He gets pretty expensive to support. Not only is his knack of property destruction costly, but you must pay to keep him with you. In fact, he will cost you thousands of dollars over your lifetime. And you can count on one thing, he will never pay you a penny in return. Often at picnics you watch others playing vigorous activities and having lots of fun doing them. But your friend won't let you. He doesn't believe in physical activity. In his opinion, you are too old to have that kind of fun. So he kind of sits on your chest and makes it difficult for you to breathe. Now you don't want to go off and play with other people when you can't breathe, do you? Your friend does not believe in being healthy. He is really repulsed by the thought of you living a long and productive life. So every chance he gets he makes you sick. He helps you catch colds and flu. Not just by running out in the middle of the lousy weather to pick him up at the store. He is more creative than that. He carries thousands of poisons with him which he constantly blows in your face. When you inhale some of them, they wipe out cilia in your lungs which would have helped you prevent these diseases. But colds and flu are just his form of child's play. He especially likes diseases that slowly cripple you - like emphysema. He considers this disease great. Once he gets you to have this, you will give up all your other friends, family, career goals, activities - everything. You will just sit home and caress him, telling him what a great friend he is while you desperately gasp for air. But eventually your friend tires of you. He decides he no longer wishes to have your company. Instead of letting you go your separate ways, he decides to kill you. He has a wonderful arsenal of weapons behind him. In fact, he has been plotting your death since the day you met him. He picked all the top killers in society and did everything in his power to ensure you would get one of them. He overworked your heart and lungs. He clogged up the arteries to your heart, brain, and every other part of your body. In case you were too strong to succumb to this, he constantly exposed you to cancer causing agents. He knew he would get you sooner or later. Well, this is the story of your "friend," your cigarette. No real friend would do all this to you. Cigarettes are the worst possible enemies you ever had. They are expensive, addictive, socially unacceptable, and deadly. Consider all this and NEVER TAKE ANOTHER PUFF! Joel http://whyquit.com/whyquit/joelcigfriend.html

  4. Hi I ran a mile, then walked on an incline for a total of 45. Then did 30 squats, 30 sumo squats, lunge pulses, crunches on a stability ball amongst other things. What has everyone else been up to? Lisa

  5. I heard about that..the eagles fans were throwing beer cans and cursing at the Viking fans and this was before the game....there was a story where a child was almost hit by a beer can...the fans that did that were low class and showed horrible sportsmanship....I don't even follow football and am tired of the patriots but if I am going to be rooting silently for the pats just cause. 10. Alright i was kind of rude. the craves for a relaxing cigarette are kicking my ass lately 9 ways to Sunday. I thought it would be OVER by now. But no, everything and everyone is pissing me off. But there is good news. I got this email with a "happy B-day" message from some forum I was on years ago. I had forgot I ever signed up. It is a forum for those struggling in relationships. I can go there and be a complete asshole until they ban me That way I do not get in trouble here.

  12. Bakon, I seriously think of you often! Your attitude is one I’m working hard to cultivate. I called one of my grown kids a window-licker the other day. They weren’t amused. I was ??? Your brother is taking me to Jamaica in 3 weeks. He bought earplugs and claimed they were for the plane. I don’t buy it.

  14. Did five sets of back squats and dropped the weight down and did some low weight / high rep sets of bent-over rows and bench presses to test the shoulder out(the shoulder is not at 100% but is getting much better). Finished up with some core and mobility work. Going to hike a couple of sections of the Cumberland Trail tomorrow for a total of 12.9 miles. Have a good weekend folks.

  15. If you ever get the chance to see Blackberry Smoke live, you should go. Those guys put on a legitimate concert. Everything is live off the floor, there's a good mix of original material and covers, some prolonged jams...they know how to give the people what they want.

  16. ^^^hell yeah! I’m convinced that the cravings never really go away. Much like working a muscle, the more you use it stronger it becomes. The more you beat the craving the stronger you become. The best way to beat those cravings is through education and determination. I *can* smoke, I simply choose not to. Cigarettes do nothing for me. They take my money, my helalth and my time.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
