  7. Hi Reci Not been here for a while sorry to read about your troubles but glad to see you've discovered it early. Best wishes for your treatment glad your staying positive.Your doing a great thing documenting your experience for others I've just had my first low dose CT scan which was negative your experience highlights the need to get the scan.Luckilly mine was free as England is rolling out a cancer screening programme for those at risk of lung cancer. All anyone has to do is ask their GP for a referral to the scheme. The scan is painless and only takes a few minutes. Keep your chin up recip I hope all goes well for you.
  8. Unfortunately, you are not alone where you find yourself today. So many chose to vape in the hope of quitting smoking but instead as you and everyone else discovered all it did is increase the "want" for more and more nicotine by changing the mechanics of getting it. An addiction to nicotine is still an addiction regardless of the device used. The only way out is to discontinue its use in all forms. (The vaping industry makes me soooooo mad can you tell lol). You can do this. Educate yourself (read, read read; find the bullet points that speak to you and send you over the wall of "no going back") and do your prep work (plan, tools, mantras, lists, rewards, etc.). You have to choose freedom every day in the beginning and be willing to go through whatever it takes to get yourself off the merry-go-round of active addiction. No shortcuts. Total abstinence is key. NOPE. Not One Puff Ever. Break the chains. Best Wishes.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
