Ok a quick update.. Doctor wasn't convinced it's my gallbladder ,due to the symptoms I was discribing, he thinks it could be a stomach problem... So he wants me to have a Gastroscopy.( delightful)..

Oh, I am so sorry to hear this!  But thank goodness it did not happen when you were in NYC!  I hope you feel better very soon!

Sorry to hear you're in such pain, Doreen but wow! Great news that they ran all those tests and everything looks good. I had a similar experience when I was in the hospital recently and it didn't hit me till later how great that was. Take good care. Hope you get a blasting appointment soon.

So you've got stones and you're stoned. Not funny but funny   :P

Get better Doorbell  :)

How scary!  Hope you're feeling better real soon, Doreen!!

Besides having my two little ones.I've never been in hospital..never had a operation ...so...

Until I know exactly what they have in mind ..I'm crapping myself...

But hey im a scouser..and we don't go down easy...besides ..I need to go running with my boo boo...xx

I need to go running with my boo boo...xx

That's a plan.  Since painkillers are involved, it's probably best we don't try to drive.

No news yet..

We have done our own research ...on what and not to eat. To stop flare up..

No dairy foods at all...plenty of fruit and salads...bread is OK..

What a royal pain in the arse this is...specially eating out ..we have to make sure it's veagan....

Hey but good news..wine is good...yaaaa....get drunk and forget about it ..perfect....

I was hoping it would be sorted while Nicky is home..

At least you have a work around until they yank them out. I would not last more than a few days on that diet, although it would probably be good for me. I like my dairy products too much. Enjoy your visit none the less as best you can :)

Well it looks like me and my gallbladder are about to be parted...

Have to wait to see the surgeon ,and then wait for the procedure..

If it's any comfort...a woman I work with had her gallbladder removed.  She was in the hospital for three-nights and back at work in a couple of weeks.  She seems to be doing fine.  I mean...she's grouchy and a bit cantankerous, but she was like that before the surgery.

Best wishes going out to our one-and-only Doorbell.

I'm sorry to hear that Doreen! Hope they get them out soon and you're back to feeling fabulous again!

Keep us in the loop D! Hope they get to it sooner rather than late so you can get back to feeling good again :)

OMG!!!!!!   Me too!!!!!  Mine couldn't be blasted because my gall bladder got inflammation and infection so it became an emergency.  That's why I haven't been on the forum.  I had mine out September 8.  I will tell you this....in the case of gall bladder, misery DOES NOT love company.  I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.  You have my sympathy and my prayers.  The pain from the infection was excruciating so I'm glad to have the darned thing out!  I had some SWEET drugs in the hospital waiting for a surgeon. Make sure to let us know when you get it scheduled.

You have my sympathy..I have been told the pain is on the same scale as childbirth..which I have to agree...

You and I have alot to talk about...I will PM you sweetheart...

Speedy recovery..

I have a apt at the hospital to see the doctor on the 9 the October...so I'm hoping I'm not waiting long ...

Geez...more blood tests have shown I have high cholesterol.. High liver something or other...thyroid needs tweeking..

Was asked if I was a heavy drinker..your kiddin right...does the odd glass of wine count.I have been told to stay alcohol free till December ,then more blood tests..

High cholesterol... I'm living on lettuce and beetroot..

I can only hope it's this dam gallbladder...

Got myself a naturopath... Been given some tablets and stuff to drink daily...I hopoe it all helps..she's costing me enough...I'm not a happy bunny ...

Wishing you well Doreen! Thoughts and prayers from across the pond.

Sheesh, Doreen... Sorry to hear. Maybe you'll find out more on Monday.

It seems they've recently lowered (again!) the acceptable scores for "healthy" cholesterol levels. Wouldn't have anything to do with big pharma wanting to sell more prescriptions for Lipitor and other statin drugs, would it?
