Ok a quick update..

Doctor wasn't convinced it's my gallbladder ,due to the symptoms I was discribing, he thinks it could be a stomach problem...

So he wants me to have a Gastroscopy.( delightful)...so I have to wait for another apointment...

The good news..he had to ask if I was a smoker... Because..he says I don't look like a person who has ever smoked..

Yaaaaa....

Got a apointment through today to have as MRI scan in November.. Good grief..what next...

Ugh. But ok...keep on truckin' my friend. Information is good.

Maybe they'll yank it as a Christmas present for you?

Geez. Seems a little drawn out but, that's the medical world of today. Nothing happens quickly :(

Don't know how you're living on lettuce & beetroot. What about wine? Is that off the table as well?

Lol..actually wine doesn't aggrivate it..hic!!!!

No only kiddin..my liver seems to be affected too..so no wine for me ...maybe 1 glass now and again..

Nicky,s cris brought me a espresso martini coffee..yum !!!.....I'm blaming him...bad influence....

I have been asked on a few occasions ,if I abuse alcohol..to be honest this is very concerning for me..more than gall stones..I have never been a big drinker..honest ...it's true as I'm riding this bike ...lol...

Let's get the tests done...and see...

Sorry to hear your poorly Doreen, hope they figure out what's the trouble and fix you up pronto.  I had gallstones about 15 years or so ago - felt like having contractions in my chest plus mid attack I found it difficult to breath out.  I was told to go on an ultra low fat diet to stop the attacks which kinda helped.

As it was explained to me is the liver produces a set amount of bile each time you eat to help digestion.  If you eat a low fat salad for instance, you would end up with excess bile which would be stored in the gall bladder.  If you had a juicy burger, there wouldn't be enough bile so extra would be pulled from the gall bladder.  So, if you end up with stones and then eat something high in fat, the extra bile needed would be pulled along with a stone or three.  It has to come through a very narrow tube which causes the pain.

If it turns out that is your issue, the op is a breeze - mine was keyhole surgery so its easier to recover from it.  My docs also argued about what was causing the pain and one was adamant the gall stones wasn't the issue.  Gall bladder removed and no more pain so ... what do they know eh!

Fingers crossed for you chick :)

Aww thank you Wendy..your letter was most appreciated..

The pain you are discribing is exactly ,what I am feeling..I am convinced this is what is happening..

But while the doctors are taking thier time to come to a decision.. I stay on a rabbit food diet...

It was a comfort to hear ,you made a great recovery, and now feeling great ..

Thx sweetheart xx

Well..MRI scan day has arrived...

This is the beginning of my diagnosis and recovery ...hopefully..... Won't get the results today...but that OK...I've waited that long...a little bit longer won't matter...

I wish you well my friend. Hope they get those bastards out ASAP!

Quick update...

Had the camera yesterday...I opted for sedation..never felt a thing..BAM  unconscious....woke up ...great sleep...

Told the results right  away....all clear ...nothing...so the esphogus and stomach are normal...I was  relieved ..after puffing 50 odd years ,the news all is normal is a relief..so its all down to the results of the scan next Monday... But gallstones are still looking favourable..for the pain...

What was we saying about doctors claiming the gallstones weren't the problem?  Bloody useless cretins.  At least you have an answer now and fingers crossed you won't have to wait too long for the op.  Hope you manage a 'merry' christmas despite not being able to eat and drink normally.  :)

Yes, hoping this ordeal is behind you as soon as possible. It's been a long while on the beetroot diet :(

Sheesh, how did I miss this!?!  Hope you don’t have a long wait to get this taken care of. Keep us posted, Doreen!
