June 12, 20188 yr Well shoot, here I was ragging on hubby just to find out that he knew the screen guy from school so we got a super good deal to rescreen our garage retractable door and two sliding glass door screens. So I'm going to give him a bye on the retractable door now and TRY not to bring up how quickly they gave up on it.
June 17, 20188 yr Who wants to hear a moan... ?????? nobody...!! tough ... !! So I have a big long hedge and it takes me the best part of a day to cut it cos i use hedge shears (yep I'm old school) I just haven't had the time to cut it (yes I am the only one who cuts it) and it has got bigger and bigger and attacks you when you try to come in the gate.!! So I decided with some of the money I have saved from not smoking and buying a pile of sh*te (yep no piles of sh*te bought in last 3 weeks except the blip last saturday..☺) I would buy electric hedge cutters... Yay go me, dragged through a hedge into the 21st century ? anyhoo got it today when the sun was splitting the trees.. got home to a slight drizzle... (that's ok I can wait a wee bitty... thought i)Then the heavens opened and a downpour ensued and its still going 4 hours later... !!! And because the rain is stoatin down my hedge is actually growing infront if my eyes..?oh when, oh when, oh when will i ever get to play with my new toy... ????? The weather is a bitch with a right nasty sense of humour ??☹ Edited June 17, 20188 yr by Wee fluffy me
June 19, 20188 yr Sucks to keep reading about lost or injured kittys on our local neighborhood website. Why won't people figure it out and keep their kitty's indoors and safe ?The average lifespan of an outdoor kitty is only 3 years, indoors they can live upwards of 16 years
June 19, 20188 yr Oh jillar im on the other side of the fence. My cats are 7 and 14 - both outdoor cats. They love being outside and would hate being couped up indoors their entire life.
June 19, 20188 yr Sheesh @jillar must be lethal at your bit.. my cat is an outdoor she's 9 and last one made it to 14 before his heart problems... both outdoors Oowww posted same time as @WeegieWoman.. but yeah same experiance.. wonder why it's so bad where you are ..? June 19, 20188 yr We have 2 cats who are outdoor cats... well Ralph would probably be an inside cat except he meows to go out so he can sit on the shed roof and torture the dog all flippin day. Both are still pretty young. But I hate them being outside cats cos we are close to the river and and park lands which means lots of snakes and well cats and snakes (mainly tigers and browns) don't play nice together.
June 19, 20188 yr This is my Ted.!!!....he lives inside...he wouldn't survive outside ...he's a mammy,s boy !!!!...to keep in theme with the thread fcuk!!! Lol...
June 19, 20188 yr @WeegieWoman and @Wee fluffy me you guys are very lucky. And there is a lot of people here who do have cats outdoors who live long happy lives. I just hate when people on that site post about their cat missing, especially when we have coyote coming down from the foothills looking for food. Then there's those that are hit by cars and die, it sucks. A lot of people here also get cats just to be mousers or gopher getters and don't think of them as children like I do. @notsmokinjo I hope your kitty lives a nice long life, it sounds scary for him to be out. @Doreensfree your cat is gorgeous and looks totally spoiled lol
June 19, 20188 yr Both ours are rescue cats. The oldest (about 12 I think) was found abandoned by it's mother in the garden (mom probably got killed I suspect). Wasn't even weaned yet. We had to bottle feed 3 times a day for a couple of weeks. Vet said he wouldn't make it but he did. The other one, age uncertain but probably around 1 year old, we caught in a live trap this past winter just after New Years Day. We named her Holly because it was just past Christmas Not sure where she came from but hung around our place and the house next door because we put out food when it was not snowing. Temps were -30's to -40's at night during that time so we couldn't stand to watch her huddle in a corner while we were all warm inside. She still shows the after affect of frostbite on the tip of her nose but at least she's alive. Here's the older cat. He sleeps a lot these days as older cats will tend to do. Oh yeah, forgot the page I'm posting in fukcin cats! Edited June 19, 20188 yr by reciprocity

June 19, 20188 yr @reciprocity do you need to label all the frickin animals or just the cats so you don't go around calling them box shitters.
