What I love about being smoke free !!

Recommended Posts

So much to love about quitting.  Freedom and independence.  I don't plan my every waking hour around my schedule of nicotine fixes anymore and don't worry about going places where smoking isn't allowed.  Improved health and more energy.  I feel better all day and sleep better at night.  My eyes aren't red and dry anymore.  I don't smell like an ashtray.  I'm saving money and withholding cash from the big tobacco companies.  I feel a sense of accomplishment having successfully done something that I told myself I couldn't do for far too long...

I could go on and on.  Quitting smoking, the benefits and the process, has been one of the best things I've ever done for myself.

It has been pouring rain this week.  Yet another reminder of what I love about being smoke free....I can drive in my car with the windows rolled UP!  It used to be I'd have the window cracked an inch or two and do the big lean to avoid getting wet.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
