Awesome!  Getting a dog is so exciting.

You can never go wrong with a Lab but I'm bias.  Siberians require miles and miles of daily exercise.  Malamutes are beautiful but can be aggressive.

If you enjoy the great outdoors, get a Lab.  Better yet, get one from the Pound.

Labs are great. Rescue labs are great also :d

Adopt, don't shop.  I'm sure there are at least one of each those breeds in your local shelter.  :)

I just got back from walking 10 dogs at the shelter my friend did 11 plenty to choose from and all they need is love and a little patience ;)

If you do decide to adopt have a look online for your nearest shelter they normally post pictures :)

Good luck whatever you decide x

Pick that one  ;)

Please get one from animal control and save a life! :)

Yes! I wish I had of.

My next one is a shelter dog.

I was so sad that I couldn't take Tiny because he was heartworm positive. My Mayhem was just diagnosed with CECS and Beast is in the early stages of hip dysplasia. $3,000 for heartworm treatment is not in the budget at the moment it broke my heart.

They are all perfect, however I think rescue or shelter is the best decision if possible second to getting a dog... (I'm a definite dog person, haha) good luck!

of course rescue a dog if you choose, but if you choose a pup I would go for a chocolate lab on the bottom they are pretty and awesome dogs just make sure you meet the breeders to see if their reputable and meet the parents of the pup if you do. Whatever you choose have fun with whatever pup/dog you choose dogs are awesome!!!

My dog was born with hip dysplasia. Going on 10 now. Been on Glucosamine (daily) and asprin as needed. Not that much of a problem for him over the years. Best medicine we have given him though?? Weight loss. Every pound a dog sheds takes a considerable amount of pressure off the joints and bones. In the last year and a half he has dropped 21 Lbs thanks the Green Bean Diet we have him on. He runs and jumps like a pup now. You wouldn't even know he has hip dysplasia.

Just bear in mind if you get a lab puppy they take a couple of years to settle. Even with training they are pretty excitable and jumpy as puppies, which as they grow pretty quickly means you and the kids need to be sturdy lol. Good family dogs tho once they calm down and loyal/trainable.

I love the husky, malamutes, akita, siberian types but they need MASSES of excersize and the personality can be a little skittish.

Don't know the other breed.

They are all uber cute! xx
