Yep renovating can be a pain - but keep the end in mind and remember planning is key - so make sure you buy the wine in bulk :-)

I feel your pain Nancy!!

I have to say that you have lovely big and bright rooms to work with, which means that its going to look really great once finished (and so worth it!)

How long do you think it will take in total?

Look forward to seeing process pictures :)

where is beer cooler?  no beer = no work

Go smash some stuff, you'll feel better and part of it :)

And buy wine, lots of wine!!

Where's the sledgehammer? That was my favorite part of "remodeling".

Not to worry, one refrigerator upstairs...one downstairs...plenty of beer!  (and wine for me!)

Sledgehammer has gotten plenty of use...lots of walls coming down!

There's nothing like opening a room up on your own.

I can loan you a dog who seems to have her own ideas of remodelling :) sofa or carpet you don't want.. no problem :)

Good luck - look forward to seeing the progress (although your Kitchen looked good before the work, so I imagine it will look excellent after!)

The kitchen looked okay, but there were two major issues....the cabinets were falling apart, and there was only one good prep place.  So excited about the changes!
