Coming off Cymbalta

Featured Replies

I have never made it a secret that I suffer from severe depression and have done so for many years.  Recalled to the docs 3 weeks ago and have been made aware I have to come off Cymbalta, reduced doseage first week, alternate days last two weeks.  My life has been a living hell, sweats, blackouts, dizzy spells, nausea, irritability, paranoia, major errors at work, had a huge cash shortage last week, on a disciplinary at the minute.  Doc now wants to lower the doseage again erring on side of cold turkey.  So freaked out right now, never felt stress like this before, could be reaching out quite a bit guys, just a wee heads up, so thanking you all in anticipation (got to keep a bit of sarcastic humour or I will go insane)

We are here for you whenever you need us!

Hang in there. Let us know how we can help

hugs Jackie!!  This too shall pass...temporary...

In the meantime...stay strong...deep breaths...we are here for you!

hang in there jackie   we are all here for you anytime you need us

Sometimes the medication is worse than the condition. I'm sorry Jackie! You know we are here for you.

Jackie, why do you have to stop? Is he offering something else?

Been on it for too many years, should only be a short term solution, unfortunately my depression comes with the family! onto 20mg tomorrow. Tried all sorts of medication, therapy , hebal , just want this stuff out of my system,....heard that somewhere before havent I  xxx

I took Lexapro for a long time for anxiety. It was good. i am thinking about taking classes in Transcendental Meditation to help me now

Can offer no useful advice...

But -

Go Jackie!

You will be OK - work with the docs to get yourself in the right place.

Big brackets..

Hoping things can work out and be calmer, that all sounds stressful and I know dose reduction of meds takes a toll from my older days of depression. Wish you were closer to offer some help but massive hugs and here for supporting you. x

Sorry I missed this (((safe hugs)))

How are you doing now?

Jackie is taking a moment to wean off of the medication. She asked me to pass along that she will be back as soon as she can. She promised to reach out if she is having problems with the nicodemon.

Ok let her know if you want DD I'll pray for her :)
