G’day

That’s what I wanted to hear! Great news.

Seems like we have spent the last year .....waiting for something

I'm glad to hear the good news Doreen.

G’day

Well it finally happened. Lock down again in Brisbane. Just three days this time ( I hope). Seems that the highly infectious “British” strain has infected a cleaner from one of the quarantine hotels. Three days should give us the time to track down the contacts and do a shit load of testing.

Me.... still have to work. My job is classed as critical so it’s mask up and back out there.

We've been in indefinite lockdown since the three week lockdown expired December 28th. 512 new cases in our county yesterday and 0% ICU beds available 😞

G’day

Ive had 3 clients whinge at me about the lockdown...... all of them masked and all used the hand sanitizer......

Bless them!

Gday

lockdown found 2 cases and it appears no more to date.  Breath again. So till the next case pops up it’s back to the new normal..... whatever that is. This latest one involves masks ..... so be it.

Gday

Our numbers today are very scarey .....

We have the highest death rate ....how the hell did this happen ....?

Yes it is scary.  I do think it is worse over here.  My granddaughter, who is in college and works for a nursing home, has gotten her second shot.  They are doing essential workers and those above 75 years of age.  We are in the next group, 65 and older, which is scheduled for Feb. 8th.   My husband and I are really hibernating because he is scheduled for his second knee replacement next Wed. the 27th.  We are holding our breaths they do not cancel elective surgery.

Due to covid, I am sitting in parking lot at hospital, waiting for husband who is having knee replacement surgery.  It is 20 degrees and dark out here and they won't let you wait inside.  Feeling a little alone.  Times like these, I would have had one cigarette after another.  Thank goodness they are no longer my friend.

So sorry Me, the world is so crazy right now. Prayers for you and  husband. Stay warm!!!

Wishing your hubby a speedy and full recovery Mee 🦿.  Sorry you were stuck outside in the cold.  Hoping the no visitation rules become a thing of the past soon.

Hope the surgery went well and you're home now

He is out of surgery and in recovery.  I can't see him until he is in his room.  Since we started at 4:00 am, I am running home to potty my dogs and grab a nap.  They will keep him one day and then tomorrow I become the nurse.

Aww Linda Sweetheart....

This dam Virus is causing all kinds of misery ...for everyone ...

It will be good and better to have him safe at home ....

Sending you love and best wishes for a speedy recovery..❤

Hope your husbands recovery is quick Mee!  Prayers and well wishes for him.

My neighbor and good friend across the street went to the hospital last night due to high heart rate and low O2. I had told him (jokingly) on Friday that I had oxygen over here if he needed it and yesterday he texted me that he might because his O2 was dropping to 84 at times.. I told him he needed to ask his Dr because it sounded to me like he needs to go to the hospital not just use a little oxygen plus my spare tank only has about 2 1/2 hour supply. He said his Dr did recommend he go but he wanted to avoid it if possible. Long story short I didn't give him the tank because I'm not a Dr and he really just needed to get the proper care not just oxygen but antibiotics too. But I feel like shit for not giving it to him since I had offered it in a joking way. He's strong but overweight so I'm just hoping he does ok...........

I have one too that I bought when I first got home from the hospital.  He wanted to use my spare oxygen tank not the oximeter. I'm hoping he'll be ok. Such a good family........
