February 2, 20215 yr You did do the right thing Jillar. I worked on an ambulance service as an EMT_specialist he needed to go to the hospital. Don't feel bad you would feel worse if you have given it to him and something worse happened.
February 2, 20215 yr Thanks @Linda, that was my worry too! I would have never forgiven myself for playing Dr with someone's life! But it makes me so mad that they didn't take this virus as seriously as they should have. They had the holidays like any other, no masks, and his brother died a couple weeks ago and they were all (alot of family members) gathered in the house together several times, no masks! I just really hope he does ok and gets through this.......... 😞
February 2, 20215 yr We have had the same problem here in Michigan with people not taking it serious. People not wearing mask thinking it was no big deal. So many people have died how can you not take it serious, and it is not over yet. Hoping soon it will get back to normal. I think that is a long way off. Hang in there hope things are going better for you 😀😀

February 3, 20215 yr My neighbor with Covid went to the ICU yesterday morning with high heart rate and low oxygen 😞 He was sitting up as of last night and using 6L of oxygen to keep his sats up and heart rate down. They want to get a cardiologist in to do an ultrasound to see if it's the virus making his heart rate so high or something not related to Covid. Sadly this is the same guy who's brother just died of a heart attack at the same hospital only a few weeks ago 😞
February 3, 20215 yr Oh my Jillar, sorry to hear this. Did is brother have covid or other cardiac history? Covid is so different from person that is what makes it so scary.
February 3, 20215 yr He said his brother didn't have Covid but he did have other health issues and had just been diagnosed earlier this year with some type of cancer (not smoking related) but were managing that with chemo. He was overweight too and went to the hospital for chest pains and died before they had a chance to diagnose more 😞

February 14, 20215 yr Looks like our county is opening up shots to those 65+ beginning February 16th and then to those at high risk between 16-64 on March 16th so looks like another month until I can get one. And my neighbor came home Friday after being in the hospital ten days with severe Covid. Funny how people don't take it seriously until it hits close to home!

February 14, 20215 yr The thing that people don't seem to understand is that many who get Covid 19, yes even younger people, end up with long lasting negative effects such as very low energy, loss of the sense of smell & taste, breathing issues as well as severe sinus issues. It's not like getting over the flu or a cold apparently. Personally, I don't want to find out!

February 17, 20215 yr This Thursday morning, I will go to the NC driver's license agency to apply for my new NC drivers license....they will give me a temporary one and mail me the real one within 60 days. I need this license to get the Covid vaccine shots!! The BF went to chiropractor this a.m and was told that SC and NC have a reciprocal agreement that you can get the vaccine with either state's drivers license (and if you meet the eligibility reqs such as age group...and we do!) I just made an appt for my 1st dose of the Covid vaccine for Thursday afternoon...in SC....about a 1/2 hour drive away! We were also able to make appt for 2nd dose next month! We wanted to get this done as they are opening up the next age group next week and it is hard enough to get an appt now. Pressure is on......I better pass that road sign test they make you take here when you trade in your out of state license!!!!

I am so anxious to get stuck already. I want to finally feel there is going to be an end to all this.
