Petticote Junction shared a number of actors with the Green Acres show :)  Mr. Hainey, Mr. Drucker at the general store.

Oh man, am I ever dating myself now eh? 🤣

Loved Green Acres, Gilligans Island, Petticote Junction, Andy Griffith. Oh and don't forget Family Affair, I didn't go anywhere without my Mrs. Beasley doll. (still have her in fact!)  All those shows were fantastic. And yea we're dating ourselves alright!

I HAVE the talking one. Unfortunately she stopped talking years ago after one too many pulls of her string. 😂

Fun fact: I had to have her for Christmas since I wasn't getting my number one on my list (she was number 2) and my mom went everywhere trying to find the doll. She finally did but it was the store display and had lost her glasses which was fine by me I probably would have lost or broke them anyway lol

New cases are increasing world wide lately. Here, they are taking a targeted approach to increasing restrictions by doing it locally where community transmission numbers are highest and focusing on the most common venues where transmission is being spread. Primarily large gatherings, both indoor and outdoor where there's no social distancing and/or mask protocols in place. One of the areas where case counts have recently gone way up is in College/University communities. Geez, wonder why? Maybe Frosh Week house parties??

Spanish flu had 3 waves in most places...no reason this wont....we are on the downside of our second wave and hoping to have some more easing of the restrictions next week.

Our county just went to tier 3 of 4 meaning we're again allowed to have indoor dining at 25% or 100 people, whichever is less as well as social distancing and mask wearing. Gyms and movie theaters are also allowed  to open indoor under the same guidelines.

It'll be interesting to see if we can stay there......

You have had a tough one Jo...

I can see a lockdown coming here soon .....

Those cakes are Amazing....and they look scrummy ....😁

G’day

I’ve got a day off, I’m at home. It’s 8:30 am and I’m struck by how incredibly quiet it is....

It’s school holidays so no school drop off. A lot of folk must be working from home. You can only hear a car every now and then and then it’s a single one and it stands out.

This Rona world is diferent.....I’m off to do some work in the yard. No I’m not going to work to hard just enjoy the garden and the day.

I don't know if anyone else is feeling like me but this whole pandemic is getting old!  The weather is starting to change and I am starting to dread the winter and being cooped up in the house.  It is very discouraging watching so many businesses close.   We definitely aren't going to come out of this the same.  I think the numbers are going to get worse during our flu season and we are not going to start to emerge from this until March of next year!  We may need to start a support thread!

We are on the tail end of flu season here @Mee .... its been the best flu season we ever had with numbers down by an astronomical amount... probably because lockdown has been so extreme here, or previously we were all so unhygienic ... i defo have Rona Fatigue and Lockdown-itis.

Last year at work we had a few go down with the flu/pneumonia... this year there have been none.

Agreed that this is getting old! We just have to keep reminding ourselves that our healthcare professionals don't get a break until it's over.  However long it takes, we must stay diligent.  Yesterday I forgot my mask and walked into a store.  So I have to renew my own determination to stay the course!

I met a friend for lunch yesterday....we are both at the delicate age...

We both noticed how paranoid we were about using hand gel....like every couple of minutes ...

Plus it took forever ,,just to order coffee,s from Costa....by the time you have given your details , cleaned your hands .. waited in a long queue 2meatres apart ...I know it's necessary...just a reminder of how different the world is ....and just a simple cup of coffee ,has become a chore ...
