March 18, 20206 yr Author I've been pretty disgusted with my flow Aussies and their ridiculous, selfish panic shopping .. I joke about it and being out of bog roll but on a more serious note we haven't been able to get an over-the-counter counter medication the kid has had daily since she was a toddler, without it she struggles to digest most foods and turns into Linda Blair...so we have been out since Saturday...she was sent home from school Monday, kept home Tuesday, fronted today but not sure if she will be up for tomorrow...But scored 10 days worth today and the nice manager will keep another 10 for me next week...stress over.
March 18, 20206 yr Hi peeps.. so my supermarket has limited the amount of groceries you can get, 3 of each item except for pain relief, loo rolls, soap & hand sanitiser is still at 2. (That's gonna bring a whole new level of abuse for us, but it's gotta be done🙄😬)They are also dedicating the first hour to the elderly and giving anyone over 70 priority to home delivery. The First Minister has just announced all schools will close from friday, Wales have announced the same, we think England and N Ireland will follow shortly..

As uncomfortable as the seating is at KFC or any fast food place, there is a greater risk of aggravating one's arthritis than of catching any virus. The USA is also doing something pretty much identical, so is this like a world wide standard on how to conduct things? Hour devoted to elderly, grocery limits, school closings... March 20, 20206 yr Your country and mine haven't even peaked yet with this virus ...who knows how many will die .... I think everyone should be scared ... Thankfully if we are unlucky to catch this killer ,we have more chance of recovery with not smoking ...

March 20, 20206 yr The City of New Orleans has sent a text, Stay home except to get healthcare, food, supplies, or go to an essential job. Personal recreation is allowed if you are not in a group. Avoid close contact with others when leaving your home for essential activities. The bars have been closed a few days, restaurants take out or delivery. LOTS of police activity and saw a tired young man in scrubs, stethoscope in his back pocket slowly walking by. It was poignant. He was so very, very tired, you could feel the weary. I am immeasurably grateful for supplies, power and WATER, a roof, a bed...so damn lucky. Keep yourselves safe, y'all. NOPE ♥️
March 21, 20206 yr @Sazeracthey just posted on the news that the virus can live on cardboard 24 hours, metal, glass and plastic 3 days. Seems like you should not even get the mail or go to the store for food. Maybe those toilet paper hoarders were not so dumb!

March 22, 20206 yr First off I hope everyone is safe. I do wonder if we will learn our lessons from the CoronaV. Everyone could have done better in handling this. Especially the media, and I can't emphasize this enough (especially the media). All stores should have limits put in place at the start of situations like this. Just my two cents.

March 23, 20206 yr It's now official...our country going into full lockdown from 26 March for 3 weeks We have 400 cases but no deaths as yet....as a 3rd world country we just cannot afford this virus to take hold, especially seeing what's happening in Europe and the States...only essential services to stay open...an hour put aside for the elderly to shop. This is it...scary but the right thing to do...no flights allowed in unless government officials...all foreigners have time to go home or live in quarantine with us.... On another note....as the mountain gorilla share around 98% of our DNA, they have been cordoned off in Rwanda and Angola from humans...they cannot afford to get this virus Let's fight this thing together....the Chinese are now working flat out producing masks and sending medical aid to Italy....we are in this together, and I firmly believe the human race will come out as a better species after this. Please stay safe all!

People are still allowed to go out as long as they practice social distancing of six feet. My husband is one of those that can't stay home and keeps going to CVS and other errands, grrrr. I can only say that if it's meant to be it'll be but hopefully it isn't!

My husband is driving me nuts too. He keeps wanting to go to the corner store or home depot. We supposedly bought everything we needed for our bathroom project so we did not have to go out. I won't let him go!
