April 3, 201412 yr I relapsed today and going to smoke my last today. There's a bunch a trouble why I relapsed, mourning my mom one of them - hiding in smoking - so if I could make special topic in the protected forum for this that would be amazing. I am 31. Lost both my parents of lung cancer. Yes I know 'and you still smoke?' Because fear got me trapped. I am completely honest about this. I am disabled and follow therapy every week for my DID/MPD (yup as crazy as a nutshell :P ) And I realize I really want to quit smoking for good.
April 3, 201412 yr Hi Evelyn. So glad you are here! You really don't have to smoke anymore. I had to give it a few tries myself. All I found is that I wasted time and got fatter. You can do it, Evelyn!
April 3, 201412 yr Hi Evelyn, so glad you have joined us. I relapsed a couple of weeks ago, I came back and everyone was fantastic and helped me again ! I'm now on day 8 and feel really good and dare I say it quietly confident :) I'm not an expert on this but if the patches were working for you why did you stop using them ? some of us use nrt, some use food, some use exercise, whatever works for you ... that's all that matters in the early days. You could start the April quit train :)
April 3, 201412 yr Author I realised whenever I use the patches I relapse. Time to trust the Lord in this that he setting me free. A step of faith. Tried it myself now I knock on Heavens door ;) I smoked my last one half hour ago, showered and intend to keep my quit
April 3, 201412 yr Hiya Evelyn Listen, go cold turkey if that's for you if not pop your patch on, really doesn't matter as long as you don't smoke. Post away...no one is going to judge you on whichever route you take. Xx
