  1. OM NOM NOM.
  2. I really need to start posting more! We're moving, so we've been spending every night packing and I keep forgetting to take pictures of our food.
  3. Everything looks so damn good!
  4. This food makes me drool! Tonight is homemade chicken noodle soup.
  5. Really glad everything went well! Thanks for the update MQ. :)
  6. Wow, awesome job RunFree! Congrats on your three weeks. :D
  7. Awesome! So proud of you Evelyn. :)
  8. Wow Chrispy, that's awesome! Congrats on your 2 years. :)
  9. Good morning! Hell NOPE to smoking. :)
  10. Welcome DB and congrats on your quit!
  11. I WANT! Yum. I'm making Minestrone soup tonight. We are having a "cold snap" this week and I figure soups for most of the week will help warm us up.
  12. o rly? thaz grate!
  13. That was so painful to read, lol.
  14. Looks pretty tasty to me!
  15. 1. Moving (hopefully into a house). 2. Planning my wedding. 3. Losing more weight (hopefully!) 4. Employment. I have a feeling 2015 is going to be a lot better than 2014!
  16. This snowfall is supposed to last until at least tomorrow. We are also expected to get freezing rain. So it looks like we are stuck in the house for a few days because I certainly don't want to risk that. People seem to forget how to operate their car and drive recklessly in the winter, so I plan on staying indoors unless absolutely necessary.
  17. I spoke too soon apparently. It's worse than it looks:
  18. Freezing here as well. Not much snow as of yet, but I'm in Canada, so it's going to happen. Environment Canada has issued a bunch of warnings and special weather statements as we're expected to get a huge snow storm soon starting tomorrow night.
  19. Sad, isn't it? Glad we are free of that!
  20. I will! I have never used them myself, but apparently, they work well under heat (440F is the max, I believe). I like that the bakeware is flexible and easy to store. Steve ended up getting a bunch of presents as well, even after they told us they wouldn't be buying us much because my coat was roughly $300. That was completely understandable -- I would never ask them to spend that kind of money on me or expect the gifts I received, so it was very much appreciated.
  21. Joe, I don't blame you for being nervous! The idea of surgery scares the heck out of me. But an end to the back pain is going to feel amazing. I have a lot of back and chest pain from Costochondritis that flares up all the time, so my sympathies to you. It can be so debilitating. But that feeling you get when you are asked if you smoke and you can confidently say no is probably one of the most exciting feelings I've ever felt. When you tell health professionals you quit, they are always so proud! Such an amazing reaction to witness!
  22. Precious Sandy! I was spoiled this year by my in-laws (AKA Santa): A "Cat Confessions" book, a Lego cake topper, beautiful knitted scarf, socks, tights, bath stuff, lip balm, nail polish, M&Ms, Zentangle with the paper tiles, and a winter coat (not featured) The assembled cake topper: They surprised us with another gift today. I am so, so excited to use these. I love to bake and I don't have a lot of bakeware:
  23. Those ribs look good Sandy! Now I'm hungry again, hehe
  24. Merely a joke Humbled. :) I don't actually believe my life is over. 4 pounds is nothing.
  25. I gained four pounds. My life is over!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
