  7. Everyone's quit is different and being able to read SOS and warts and all posts is refreshing because its honest and true, we don't want to sugar coat our quits, because they are what they are sometimes difficult, sometimes emotional, sometimes happy and hysterical, they are a journey one in which we grow and sharing how you are feeling is all part of that so please don't ever think about not posting an SOS or anything xx

  10. Tracey my wee dolly well done and reaching 8 months, so proud to know you and thanks for all your support xx
  11. Hi Susanna these thoughts will lessen, each day they will be easier to cope with, if you give the addiction room it will grow and grow, don't allow it to take over your mind, hand up and NOPE, kick the nicodemon to touch and move forward one second at a time if you have too, in the early weeks of my quit, I had to repeat NOPE over and over again, I never believed it would get easier but it has, I have had tricky moments over the last few months but each day it gets better and better, so stay true to yourself and do not give in to the addiction, just reach out as much as you need to we are all here to help you through xx

JackiMac replied to Sarah's topic in The S.O.S. Board
Nothing wrong with you at all Sarah, this is the mindset that men like this want you to feel, it is him who has the issues not you, I could tell you a few stories about the men in my life. But one thing is sure, because of what I went through I have become who I am today, a stronger, more determined woman, Hold your head high and let him go, do it with dignity and know you have nothing to be ashamed of, don't smoke because again he will have one, not worth it. But remember you are worth so much more xxx
  17. okay okay seriously PMSL if we all meet in a room in a pub we would be lifted (arrested to all you non scots) for breach of the peace, and I know my place is walking 5 steps behind the true Queen of Scotland xx

  19. Hi Jay and welcome on board, congratulations on making the best decision ever and that is quitting, there are some truly wonderful people here, we all have the same goal, quit and stay quit, stay close by and post often, looking forward to sharing your journey xx
  20. Welcome back on board so glad your here, fantastic post and echos the feelings of many of us, grab your one way ticket, don't look back, and the buffet carriage will be opening soon xx
  21. Hi Tiff hope you are feeling a little better now, when the addiction grabs a hold of us and makes us question whether we are doing the right thing by quitting, just remember that you are stronger than the addiction each second that you tell the addiction NOPE is a second won against it, I was stressed out my box at work yesterday and boy would have given my right arm for a cigarette for a few seconds, then I realised the work would still be stressful, I would be even more stressed because I had broken the promise to me and that is NOPE , and after I worked through the crave I felt proud that I hadn't caved in, you can get passed the craves TIff and you will become stronger through them, if you need to reach out and Post and SOS then so be it, you are amongst friends here, people who care about you and who do not want to see you give in. You can do this xx
  22. Thanks for posting Marcus, we always have to be on our guard, I have seen so many people with 3, 4 year quits relapse and really really regret it, as you say guard the quit always, for the addiction never lurks to far away xx
  23. JackiMac commented on Amy's blog entry in Amy's Blog
Amy fantastic to see this post, it shows you are still here still wanting to quit, but the damn addiction has taken that hold again, shake it free Amy hunny, you know it doesn't hurt, its just the fear of being without nicotine, but you can survive without it, and you know that you can, you need to close your eyes and let go we are all here ready to catch you, the longer you keep smoking the harder it will be to loosen the grip of the addiction, make a decision Amy my lovely and come back and join us xxx
  24. Whohooo fantastic love to hear the sounds of a good party, will be down here applauding you when it comes xx
  25. Sarah WOW you are the tiger and doing so squeakingly well, fantastic can't believe its 3 months xx
