    Snow

Early May is too soon for 90's. Write me down for missing the snow also.
  13. I must be in the minority whereas I have been quit for a year and half and my chest feels tighter to this day than when I smoked. I actually remember posting about this issue several times, but received the same old response of, "Give it time. You smoked for 24 years, your body can't just recover overnight." Well, it's been 18 months and the feeling has not diminished. I've been to the Drs. (COPD tested) and exercise regularly. My persistent cough has grown more persistent.Maybe I need more exercise, but it feels as this will only help in other areas. I have even upped my vitamin intake and eat healthier. I've come to the conclusion everyone is different. Our body's are not all the same. I've witnessed loved ones get cancer when they have never smoked or drank a day in their lives and THAT is not fair. You're on the right path cpk. Quitting is one the best things you can do for yourself. My advice is to just take one step at a time. Start slow and build from there. You have a great story to tell.
  14. Congrats on your one year Sarah. It IS a big deal. If you can do this, you can do anything. And you'll find the right one..... when you're not even looking. :)
  15. Love Aruba. Been there a few times. Now I have little ones occupying all my time. Now trips consist of Sesame Place, Dutch Wonderland, Disney World, Sandcastle & Kennywood. Fall Quitters 2013 rule....just ask action. Ironically, not big on guns. Only pop in now and then, but great site the boss has organized Tip: This forum is A MUST for new quitters. Oh, and the only thing worse than diarrhea is internet drama.
  16. I was a wannabe. Now I'm not.
  17. Accents in Ink in Castle Shannon. At the time (13 years ago), they had the best tattoo artist around. He actually did celebrities in L.A.. But you're right, it's all subjective.
  18. I was the same babs. Looked for over 5 years for the "right" one. Finally, I designed my own, drew it up and went to the best parlor in town. It's all about putting something you really really love on you for life....in most cases, "for life".
  19. Yep, it's not a movie to make one think!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
