  1. Bed, here I come. Thank you all, it helps so much! Karen
  2. Thank you all for the good words. I sometimes think the bad part of me is looking for a reason to fail. Does that make any sense? Think this is a night to just go to bed early....
  3. I will be doing fine and then a sudden craving/want will just pop in there. Sometimes quite strong. Is this normal at only three weeks off all nicotine? I feel like I am somehow being a failure by still having these craves, or whatever they are! K
  4. Yes, so happy for you! Karen
  5. Yes, happy nope.
  6. Not that kind of closet, I meant a real pic! Hello everyone!
  7. Wait, where is she??
  8. Not sure. I work with law students and most days, feel ancient! When will Bakon come out of the closet? so glad to be "me" with you all! Poppy isn't sure she likes being displaced, though...
  9. You are quick, DD! Feel like ya'all are friends now, so shouldn't be hiding behind Poppy ^_^
  10. Welcome!
  11. Oh Leanna, What wonderful memories for you! We have always put our tree up on Christmas Eve. It started from our first Christmas when we were being moved by the Army on the 27th, so decided no tree and then at the last minute decided, Yes, a tree. Some years it has been nerve wracking as to whether we would find a tree that late and so we have given in the past few years and bought the tree a bit earlier but still put it up on Christmas Eve. Of course, having no kids has made it possible to continue this tradition ;) I am sure if we had kids the tree would have to go up much sooner! Karen
  12. Well Ladies, I work across the street from a Wendy's and several other fast and not so fast restaurants within walking distance. Never a problem when I smoked, but now..... Just ate rye crisps and packaged salmon for lunch, then went out and walked a mile. Something has to give and it is NOT going to be my pant size. Sending us all strength, Karen
  13. Oh Julie, I can relate! I was actually underweight when I quit smoking so I thought I could get away with gaining a little. But it hasn't stayed at a little, omg. I have NEVER had to watch my weight or what I ate so this is very weird. And add in, that I have discovered how good food can taste and we have a recipe for I am trying not to get too upset, but this can't get out of hand! I might try the fitbit. I have started walking and hope that will help. Good luck! Karen
  14. Happy Birthday, Sally!
  15. Congratulations, Evelyn!
  16. I am curious as well. Looks like a baby monkey to me?
  17. Congratulations, Jess! Wonderful, can't wait to catch up. Oh wait, I will never catch up. But every month you hit, I will know I have only one week to go, Yah! Karen
  18. Thank you all!. Still feeling rocky, I haven't got this yet. Still one day at a time.... Started walking, that is helping a little. But..... the encouragement from all of you is really helping so much!!!
  19. Wow, I am early today, or some of you are late Nope.
  20. Hi Jess, Sorry to be late in responding. I am having a rough time, too! I am just about at week 3 CT. I did 10 weeks of NRT and that was a piece of cake, since I was still getting the nicotine albeit in different form. Hang tough, so I can say to myself, "Jess is doing it , so can I!" Little pressure there, eh? Karen
  21. Oh wow!! Thank you, Jenny. So much needed a laugh right now! Karen
  22. Wonderful, Evelyn! Your strength gives me strength! Karen
  23. Nope!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
