  1. This is awesome news @nicotine_free! KTQ!
  2. YAY on one month quit!! You’re doing great!
  3. Congratulations on 6 years Boo! Thank you for helping me and others along the way!
  4. It has been statements such as this that brought me through the craviest of craves! When I discovered them I would read and reread each every one. I would hold it in my sight and in my mind and I would let the hope the words gave me hug me through my darkness until I was strong enough to step back into the light. I would not be where I am in my quit today without QuitTrain and her fine passengers—past and present!

    Today

Sweet! Congratulations on the new car and the great deal!
  6. Congratulations @Steven Drojensky!
  7. You’re doing great Justin!
  8. You are doing great! I spent so much time on here. Reading what others had gone through is the only thing that kept me from believing that my mind had been completely broken. Deep breathing and drinking cold water helped ease the cravings for me.
  9. I’m looking forward to actually noticing and enjoying that spring has come this year. As my quit date was March 17th I hardly noticed anything but my suffering last spring. I was a mental wreck!
  10. Congratulations @KEL! 5 months quit is awesome! You’re doing great and you have become a real asset to this board!

  14. Good morning! And Congratulations on your two months quit @Sunnyside!
  15. It’s great that you knew where to come for support Nana. We are here for you! I’ll be a year quit March 17! I’m sorry to see that the stress of life caused you to pick up smoking again, but you can beat this. You have done it before. You seem ready to just do this and angry enough with yourself to be your own drill sergeant. Nicodemon doesn’t have a chance. Post and read as much as you can. It truly helps. See you around!
  16. When you are in the first stages of your quit this is pretty much the norm. You are an addict going through withdrawal so everything is going to bleak and miserable for awhile. I read so very much on this site. When I first quit and was reading older posts made by others, two things seemed to be a common event that became the catalyst in them knowing that brighter days were certainly coming. The first is that one morning they noticed that taking that first waking breath of the fay didn’t trigger a coughing fit and the second was that they had gotten out of bed and was well into preparing for their day when they realized that they had not had one thought about a cigarette. Brighter days are ahead, it just takes time. You are doing great @DenaliBlues!
  17. What a wonderful introductory post and welcome aboard Denali Blues! 17 days in is an awesome feat especially when it is done solo. Keep reading everything on site and remember to ask for help or general information information when needed. We all want to see you succeed!

  21. A whole half of a year! This is awesome Yoda! Thank you for boarding the train! You have been an exemplary passenger all these months showing concern for others and helping anyone in need. You’ve got this! The next 6 months will fly by!
  22. I’m happy that you are back with us @Opah! I’m very sorry to hear that you have been battling Covid. I have been missing your posts. Take care of yourself and I hope that you are out of there sooner rather than later!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
