Congrats on 19 days quit madturtle, you're doing great! The things you're experiencing are all normal and will go away soon enough so just keep telling yourself that. Also sweets help as well as doing something you enjoy doing that you've always done smokeless. I didn't smoke in my car so if a bad craving came I would jump in the car and take a drive and almost instantly forgot about smoking
  14. Hey we're stuck at home, what else is there to do?! Who closes the door when the bus driver gets off?
  15. Do you need a link to the Aussie slang thread @notsmokinjo made for us?

  17. Because "attic" was already taken How do I set my laser printer on stun?
  18. The popcorn is brand new @catlover so maybe it takes time to swim across the ocean to you lol.
  19. It is a happy thought Kate and it makes me thrilled to see people get their forever quits. Especially the ones who struggled so hard You are a total asset to all who don't succeed in their first attempt to show them that perseverance and self discipline is all that's needed to succeed
  20. Just got back from having my follow up ct scan that was supposed to happen in March. I have to confess that I tried to get out of it this morning because of the spike in virus cases but the gal assured me it was safe to go and would only take about ten minutes. So just my luck I get there, have my temperature scanned and am waiting to be taken back when more people show up in the lobby. One older man had a higher than allowed temperature and his mask below his nose so miss hypochondriac starts telling the receptionist please make him stand way over there (pointing towards door) I'm high risk. Poor guy went back outside and I got brought back for my scan. Hopefully his temp was only from sitting in a hot car in a mask and not from the virus. I can not even imagine having to be in the medical field and have the highest respect for everyone who is. Please stay safe everyone! Xoxo

  23. Congratulations Michelle on getting past the hardest month of them all! You should be so proud of yourself, this is a huge milestone!!!
  24. Hi Michelle, I've got COPD so not the best person to answer that but whenever you have a concern about your health please ask your Dr. We can offer support and our own experiences but we aren't drs so it's best to bring your concerns to them, you're doing great and I'm really happy to see you one month quit!
  25. Doesn't it make it more fun by seeing them from all over the world?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
