  12. Oh yes, of course you need to talk about it, that's a lot on your plate! The good news with your upcoming surgery is that you will heal so much quicker now that your circulation has improved. That's one of the first things to get back as I'm sure you've probably noticed by now You are doing so well Michelle, vaping will only put you right back to square one and we all know that's NOT where we want to go! Why not take a long hot bath or make yourself something to eat. Both things I'm sure you did smoke free right?
  13. Good on you for posting Michelle, the crave will pass. They always do. Can you go some place in your home that you never smoked?
  14. Welcome aboard our train of quitters Michael and congratulations on taking back your life two weeks ago The insomnia is completely normal and sucks but it's only temporary so hang in there. As for your breathing, your cilia have already started cleaning all the damage we did by smoking and this can result in some shortness of breath. That being said, and especially in these virus times, it's never a bad idea to call your dr. for their opinion of if you should go in or not. Especially if it gets worse or is particularly troublesome. Congrats again on your awesome quit and be sure to have a look around. Lots to do and learn here on all our various forums
  15. It depends on the size of the nut, I think the world record though is 97 Who knew what time it was when the first clock was made?
  16. Because the three stooges did it and lived Why are the holes in cats fur always in the right places for their eyes?
  17. Welcome aboard mellymark, I echo what reciprocity said above. Lots of great material here as well as a train full of quitters to support you through your journey. I see you've been quit since June 14th? That's three weeks already, good job
  18. Hey nana, sorry you're having a rough day today. Those hard days really suck but you've got past them before so you will today too! Yell at the kids, march down the street in your jammies (hee, hee), whatever it takes to help. Another thing I did on a bad crave day was do something that you've never smoked doing. I never smoked in my car so I would take a short drive and as soon as I got in the car the crave would disappear. Today is your one month anniversary, tell your family that you want to celebrate, and focus on all the positives you're already seeing. Happy anniversary and we'll be here if you need us
  19. Congratulations on being one month quit today @Nana20, you are now past the hardest month of all! Thank you for all the support you give everyone I hope you pamper yourself today, you've earned it

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
