Never smoked inside, even before I had a kid so didn't have that issue. Since the late naughties... I never smoked in the car when the kid was in there but after that became a law here (no smoking with kids in the car) for some reason I started smoking in the car less too... although in bad traffic I would.... I always smoked with the window down so while there is a slight scent in my old car (not really on the road for a while) its not too bad and really only on hot days. So I space bag my winter clothes (jackets, wollies) at the end of the season and I did notice that even though they had been put away clean they smelled of stale smoke when I got them out this winter... so I had them dry cleaned, problem solved.

and out came a Portugese Bacon being served with a special sauce. I put in an amphibian and a ghost.

Congratulations @Kermit for being smoke free for 6 months. Well done on being half way to the first year of freedom. Best thing all day was seeing you log on after so long. I thought you were lost... but NOPE, you just got all busy using all the wonderful smoke free time you have... never been so happy to be wrong. So for all you hard work, for being an official 50%er you deserve a big celebration so make sure you reward yourself for all your work.

Congratulations @KT1973 for being smoke free for 10 months. Well done on reaching your double figure quit celebration. 10 months is a big one, double figures, nice solid base for the rest of your life smoke free. You should be so proud of how far you have come. Big celebrations are called for with being into the double figures.
