  1. THIS thread could not possibly invite awkward comments... But yeah, I try not to smell my hands because i do not know where they have been.
  2. I think he is too shy to ask himself but will Bakon be allowed to wear his short dress and fishnets to the party?
  3. ...
  4. Of course no one wants to expand on the fact that quitting marriage is another way to freedom and peace of mind. It might sound mean but when I was making my list of reasons to quit, one of them was "At least i do not have to deal with being married". Been divorced for years. I think being married was the reason I started smoking at 27 years old.
  5. I did that towards the beginning. It really did help because then God responded, "Ha ha ha JB, we all know where YOU are headed after death" then I heard the sound of flames. Then he said, "You want to end up there sooner than you have to?" I have not picked up a cigarette since my quit date. EDIT - I do hear that hell is a smoking section in it's entirety so I am thinking I will definitely relapse after i die.
  6. Having a bad cold was actually how I quit, I was not able to breathe real easy so smoking was a bear. Use this time to sneak in some easy quit days
  7. were you able to re-drop the cigs or still planning a quit strategy? Five days is actually a lot longer than many quitters make it (four hours is about all usually for quick relapsers) so you know you are able.
  8. Hey katie... they are a bit tough on relapsers yes but you didn't like just split did you? I kind of wonder sometimes when brand new quitters relapse and then suddenly vanish. Seems to happen too often. So then, how are things holding out?
  9. No wonder I am not involved. I refuse to fart in front of another human being.
  10. Reciprocity you are one sexy bitch. You better be careful you know how horny some of the men are on this forum.
  11. Boy sounds like it. next time someone tries to separate you two, they might use PB blaster instead, it may be more effective.
  12. Someone needs to separate Doreen and Boo. Boo, it is about a group of surfer guys who keep getting attacked by this rare breed of sea creature called the camel-toe shark. It gets really deep into things.
  13. I work with this woman who has this dazed, out-of-it look all the time. I mean for real this could be her brother.
  14. The problem is that when there are tons of videos and links posted everywhere, it becomes Spam. The OP came in and made a comment about how great it was to not be smoking anymore. They didn't ask for 20 links to videos. So also than - not only here but on comment sections of youtube there are tons of links spammed? I wonder how long the creators of those videos are going to want to put up with that mess? Joel I am sure you have helped many and that is great but most people likely do not want non-stop videos shoved down their throats. it would be like if someone mentioned wanting to join a church/find religion or whatever and then suddenly every morning Jehovah Witness came beating down the door and littering the grounds with pamphlets.
  15. BAKON!
  16. FB likes to remind people of everything. Of course as dumb as it is, I am surprised it has not sent ads for cessation products like gum or patches. Things that a long-time quitter has NO need for.
  17. Nancy, i love you. Now about the subject at hand, am I the only one who , upon reading the title of this thread, thought, "Ahh, so someone finally got divorced". But yes, quitting smoking feels pretty good too.
  18. You are not the first to relapse. My first "quit" in years was Oct 2nd and lasted 4 hours. So I got a better plan in place and Oct 6th I quit again, and have not lit up since. Some might shame you or whatever but here is what i have to say - When we fail at something, the best thing to do is to re-examine what went wrong so we can come back next time more prepared to fight. Each time we do not succeed, we learn more. learn by our mistakes. So now is the time to rethink what you could have done different, like what caused you to buy some, and next time you can beat that temptation. Beating yourself up does no good. Just get back up and jump back in.
  19. Doreen, maybe you could change Boo and Reciprocity's titles to "Women's rights champion". they would LOVE it
  20. Not all sports. I think smoking is required if you want to play pool. Obesity is required if one wants to bowl. Corporate butt-kissery is needed to play Golf. Endurance in these though - nah...
  21. Boo, you better quit messing with Doreen. What will happen if she will pull out a two foot long paddle with holes in it and spank your ass like it is never been spanked before
  22. I assume it is a free app? What if it said "contains ads" and it ended up being pop-up ads for tobacco? How hilarious would that be?

    5 days!

Of course at three weeks and three months there is sometimes a nasty battle where we want like hell to smoke again. Just keep in mind that you were able to go 11 days without a smoke, so you KNOW you can survive without another coffin nail. So by now, notice how food actually taste better and you can smell stuff again? Plus, all the stupid inconveniences of smoking are no longer a bother. Like trying not to run out, having to make a special trip to the store, lighters stocked, etc...
  24. Right on bat. It is good to see people are posting sexy GIFs for you Next year - same guy but in fishnets with those short shorts. You can do it.
  25. Yeah. A lot of fun people, good jokes, this and that. Once in a while, we even discuss matters concerning quitting smoking.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
