  7. NOPE!
  8. Welcome, Jacqueline!! You can do this...Not One Puff Ever!!
  9. Parsley, you can do this! One minute at a time if necessary. If you smoke, you will have to start all over. It is okay to cry, scream, rant, rave, shower until the hot water runs out, eat everything issight, punch inanimate objects...any thing but smoke. Our Paul once said that you have to care for your quit as if it were a newborn infant...treasure it, be gentle with it, and protect it with your life.

  20. I forgot to mention that Steve was a hero...survived Viet Nam to die from smoking... http://www.clickfh.com/Obituary-Of-Stephen-Doyle-Brooks%2C-Sr./2815
  21. My husband, Dennis's brother, Steve, died yesterday. He was 68 years old. He had been a heavy smoker since his teenage years, and although he tried many times, he never managed to beat the addiction. He was diagnosed with lung and throat cancer. Three weeks ago he had the surgery for the lung cancer. He was supposed to be home in just a few days. Unfortunately, he got pneumonia, and then sepsis. They took him off life support yesterday, and he lived for about an hour. He loved people, golf, and fishing. His second grandchild will be born in the next month. If you haven't quit...you owe it to yourself and your loved ones. Dennis is on the left, Steve in the middle, Milton on right.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
