  1. Oh, Pumpkin I feel your pain. I have gained and gained and gained. I went on a diet and gained 3 lbs. I have one pair of jeans I can still squeeze into and all of my shirts are tight. T-shirts are not possible now - too much muffin top! Gaining weight is a REAL PROBLEM, and we do ourselves a disservice when we don't take it seriously. So... I have a limit to my will power and it's being spent on not smoking. I have no ideas for you; just know that you are not alone.
  2. What ever keeps you on the Quit Train is a GOOD thing
  3. You should be proud! I am very grateful that you give so much time and energy to this forum. You have absolutely helped my quit
  4. I don't know how much time and effort went in to making sure I always had a supplies. I might forget my lunch. I might forget my badge for work. I might forget pants - but I never, not once, "forgot" smokes. My priorities were very clear. Outta that bog.
  5. Puffy eyes. I used to have puffy bags under my eyes that made me look like I hadn't slept in years. They are mostly gone now and I expect to get better.
  6. NOPE. Not today. I can do this today.
  7. No kidding! Closet smoking takes up so much time. Sneaking out when no one else will notice. Buying fabric freshener to disguise the smell, always chewing gum and YES, washing, washing, washing your hands. It's a huge drain on your time and energy. Quitting just keeps getting better
  8. Monday again after a rushed but productive weekend. Monday again after getting to sleep in until 7 for two mornings in a row. Monday again and tied to a desk after a weekend in the yard. Monday again and at least I can breathe.
  9. The little difference can be astonishing and motivating. Keep the quit; you are doing really well
  10. Sleep is the best. Glad you are getting more!
  11. The longest journey begins with the first step. Keep hiking, we are all here for you.
  12. Might be allergies. Might be anything but I just haven't fell well for two days. Draggin' my wagon. But still here

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
