  1. Not all of them ...........................
  2. AG1; this is all normal and will not last much longer with the intensity that you are experiencing now, providing you do not smoke!! That is the key ingredient here - NO SMOKING. That includes e-cigs. Smoking those is virtually the same as cigs. You are going through all the same motions as smoking, even if you have no nicotine in them. Breaking that mental process of smoking is harder and takes longer than just getting the nicotine out of your system. You are 3 days into your quit now? That's pretty much max. discomfort time for most. Just focus on getting through each hour at a time right now. It will get better soon. You are just in the worst part of the process right now. By the way, it's OK to cry and sleep as much as you want during these early days. I know it's tough to function at work and elsewhere in public during these early days. You just have to do the best you can. The only way through this is, you have go through this part. It will be worth it after you're there. This won't last forever, that I promise you. Stay strong Girl and just don't smoke!!
  3. +1 on Canadian Beer  Weed; not legal until July 1, 2018 You can keep the Poutine; Gravy and cheese curds on top of greasy French Fries. Possibly more hazardous to your health than smoking :gagging-928:

  5. ^^^^ So True ......................
  6. ^^^ I repeat my earlier statement: Yup :)
  7. Nice! Another benefit of quitting. No brownish build up on your tongue :) Bet your taste buds are waking up too?
  8. +1 Hahaha......................
  9. Like this perhaps??
  10. Hope so but if we're goin' on a mission we gotta get to Cannada right quick before The Donald builds a WALL or puts a tariff on Canadian women :P
  11. What's happened to our Pixel Sketch? She was very active here the past couple of weeks then suddenly gone 2 days ago! I hope she's OK :unknw:
  12. I think part of the reason was also that I wanted to see if I could actually do it because I knew it would be really tough. Sounds weird but I like to challenge myself from time to time and that has ended me up in hospital twice in my lifetime with serious injuries so I figured that this challenge would either have no effect on my life if I failed or, it would benefit me if I was successful. I know that's strange but as long as it works out; it's all good :)

  18. I'm working from home today as well as taking care of some house repair/maintenance stuff. Good idea to keep busy during your early quit. Keep yourself occupied and not only will that help distract you; you'll have the cleanest & most organized house in the State by the time your 1st week is over :P I know you're feeling completely miserable now, it's just part of the process. The intense misery won't last that long and once you are through it, you'll be well on your way to securing your quit :) Come here often and let us know how you're doing. Also be sure to keep focused on your reason for quitting. Keep that in the front of your mind as it will help you through this tough part. Reflect on how far you've come even if it's just a day or two. The early days are really hard work so you don't want to throw that all away or have to repeat it. I know these two things kept me moving forward in the early days.

  20. We're not laughing AG1 because we all went through it too. We know how unbelievably unsettling those first days can be. Experiencing all the things you mentioned and it's exhausting just dealing with it all but; it won't kill you whereas smoking just might so, grit your teeth and power through those first days. Come on here and rant all you want. It's what you need to do while your fighting this addiction. Please do read all you can and watch the videos. It will help you develop & keep the right perspective on this addiction. I think the first few days that's pretty much all I did. Stayed inside, hid away from the world and binge watched TV, these videos, read forums etc. Anything to keep my mind off what I was going through. I know I don't have to tell you this but, it does get better - much better. You just have to go through the hard part first. You CAN do it!!

  22. Hey Parsley :) Everything you're experiencing is completely normal and temporary (as I'm sure you already know) but just thought I'd chime in and remind you of that. The anxious feeling, foggy head or fuzzy brain as some call it and irritability as well are all to be expected. One of the unexpected benefits of quiting is that we get a lot of stuff done that we might not normally do, just trying to keep ourselves busy - lol. You're doing great and already starting to see the benefits of being a nonsmoker. Wanting to smoke constantly at this stage of your quit is pretty normal I think. I know I was that way but, those thoughts become less intense and less frequent as you progress.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
