  15. Welcome back DEE :) I once went to an out island quite a way off the coast of Belize too. Can't recall the name of that one but it was really nice. Self contained and self sufficient like you say. There were a lot of Xpats from the U.S. and Canada living there too I recall. Beautiful waters around Belize!

  19. Hey Gigi. Welcome to the Quit Train. We're glad you could join us. You have a wonderful quit of 2 weeks going there. You are through both hell week and WTF week. It'll get a lot better in the days and weeks to come :) Looking forward to getting to know you better and following your journey to freedom!

  21. Hey LG - good to see you back again :)
  22. I'd be taking one of these too .... It's in case you run into one of these?
  23. Yes, you are completely correct. You can get to the point where you have suppressed the addiction to the point you can live very happily and easily every day but occasionally, just very occasionally something happens and your brain immediately links you back to thoughts of smoking, although they are just a passing thought that you can easily deal with. My wife says the same thing and she has been quit for many many years. And don't worry Feely, the thoughts we are taking about are just those - thoughts, not compelling craves or urges that you are dealing with now. Those don't come back ever once you are far enough along. They only get weaker and weaker.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
