  2. I think he'll have 7 Smoke Free months around the 20th of September and he purchased a motor home... we can only hope this didn't happen.
  3. I am so glad you are starting a blog. This will help you and many other quitters. You might post on this thread also, Pre-Response to your own SOS Where, in your own words, you talk yourself out of smoking. A good thing to have in your tool box and very helpful to remind you why you quit. It also helps in our response to you. Hooray ! You quit smoking.
  4. You are breaking up some patterns of smoking, this is excellent. You haven't set fire to a cigarette in Two Days ! Congratulations. Are you experiencing cravings from not getting nicotine ? How are you using your ecig ? Are you giving up nicotine too ? or trying to do a gradual withdrawal ? I am glad you don't smoke anymore, Debby. Hold on to your resolve.
  5. I am so proud of you for going and facing the music, Doreen, and hope you hit the 70o/o !
  6. Nothing changed position. I just posted a link here to the pinned thread and posted a link on the pinned thread to this thread since it is the same sort of information. More choice is always good. edited to add: Sherri L., on 13 Sept 2016 - 11:09 AM, said: " I know I never looked at those pinned posts when I came here and probably still won't" Oh, you really should ! There are many really informative pinned threads containing a wide variety of responses and they are a big part of who we are as a community.

  16. Good Health to you, Doreen. I will be thinking of you today. S
  17. I am glad you quit and also glad you had a good day. When quitting, you must expect a certain amount of discomfort and you are going to have to do a bit of work on yourself to change your patterns and learn to recognize the lies of an addict. There is no Magic Bullet. Quitting addiction is an opportunity to get real REAL with yourself and the rewards will astound you. A question to ask is, how continuing to administer Nicotine, a drug that creates it's own colossal stress of constant withdrawal, going to help you cope with the really stressful times ? I look forward to your second smoke free day tomorrow. Don't forget, you can simply breathe through the craves. S p.s. It was good seeing you in games today, another great way to beat craves.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
