  10. It helped me alot, I joined a quit site when I was 6 weeks quit and I was wobbling a bit, I know if I had of went out drinking I would have gone back smoking so when I first learned the NOPE strategy it actually started to make me understand alot more about this addiction and once I pledged that day I knew smoking was off the table no matter what because I don't break promises, so it helped when i went out for a drink, I gave my word, I said I wouldn't smoke so I couldn't. I can't cope with the guilt of it, just like breaking a promise to a child, I don't, can't and won't ever do it, same as promising myself and my fellow quitters, I gave my word, I find pledging for a year is beneficial aswell. NOPE xxx
  11. Yep I had that, loved getting a free buzz lol According to my Doc it was just all the extra oxygen returning to your body and brain cos we weren't getting enough oxygen as smokers, Another positive about quitting, great to O2 returning and carbon monixide leaving, its all good, Feeling should go soon x

  20. You tube videos of people dying from lung, throat cancer etc were what saved me without a doubt. One video in particular was thanks tobacco you killed my mom, I think was the name but soo powerful, a son filmed his mam in the final stages when she as dying from emphysema, soo upsetting and I couldn't put my kids through what that poor man went through, breaks my heart every time I watch It Brian lee curtis from whyquit, his awful death kept me quit too. Seriously life is far too short don't shorten it even more x

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
