Gday I’ll put this bluntly. I quit this final time due to pneumonia. What keeps me quit is COPD. Just don’t want that for you…..

Aww ok , you threw away your great Quit Glad you have decided to keep your seat , that’s very important. If you have read all the info here and you smoked , then something hadn’t gelled Not sunk in You still believed the cigarette could offer you something .. You smoked because you are a addict Re read everything .. watch the videos Have you read the Allen Carr the easy way Buckle up and let’s get this done 🐸

Ya ... none of us could justify our smoking either. You just celebrated your 3 month smoke free anniversary. What is the longest you've ever not smoked? You left smoking as an option open instead of taking the "Commitment Oath" to smobriety no matter how you feel, no matter what you think or tell yourself, and no matter what happens to you. Take smoking off the table. I hope you get back on the train and ride it to the end. It IS doable for you.
  9. It's the 28th again? NOPE
  10. He has never mentioned any medication other than what he told me yesterday if I end up with this persistent cough issue (which I hope I don't ). We'll see what happens after I'm done I suppose.
  11. It looks amazing!!! 🙂 I love the new look and the Header is really great! 😄 Thank you so much MQ for doing all this for us!! 👍 You have helped so many of us quit and the future quitters as well. I honestly don't think I would have been able to quit, if I didn't find this place!
  12. Thank you! We’ve had a very demanding week. We moved the website to a new and more powerful server, but that was only preparation for the new version of the forum, which we successfully deployed today. @MarylandQuitter will probably still have some work to do on the new design. And I’m trying to get our ticker up and running again. https://www.quittrain.com/tickers/
  13. Wow ! I hardly recognise the place Well done MQ it looks great Thank You for all you do for us 😀🐸
  14. NOPE for today! ~

Well; not to be mean but I hope it really sucked when you realized what you'd done and all those promises you had made to yourself were broken. The only positive thing is that you are still here and willing to quit again. If you don't learn a lesson from what happened then you're bound to repeat it at some point down the road. It's very important to learn a lesson from any failed attempt. That's the only way you can correct/avoid it in future! Where did you get the smoking material? I thought did you said you'd got rid of it all back in early May? Did you not do that and actually take the time to go buy more? If that's the case then it wasn't just a temporary, fleeting impulse thing; it was something deeper that needs to be corrected before you'll ever be able to quit permanently. You KNOW you can do it @Pilgrim ! You did it for three months then threw all that hard work and emotional turmoil out the window and now that was all just a wasted effort - what a shame😖 Anyone & everyone CAN quit but only those that are truly comitted to having a smoke free future and permanent freedom from an addiction running their lives actually achieve that transition. You simply have to want to be free of your addiction more than you want to continue to smoke! It really does boil down to that. I hope that YOU are now ready to make that life changing commitment!

Sorry to hear that you relapsed @Pilgrim Hop back on and hopefully this time you will stay in your seat!! As Doreen said, re-read everything and watch the videos. Do the daily NOPE every single day!! In the beginning you have to, IMO. You must be getting annoyed at constantly getting the withdrawal symptoms? How can you stand it? Stop buying cigarettes or getting them from someone, get back on the train and be done with it!!! I know it's not easy, but everytime you go back, you will be back at square one which is the most difficult part of the ride. This can be done @Pilgrim You MUST set your mind to it, for it to work!! Make this the last time you go back to smoking!!🤞
  18. Five years ago I asked myself, in five years do you want to be glad you quit or wishing you would have quit? I also asked myself if I'm successful would I look back and think, Gee, I sure wish I would have kept smoking. Today I get the answer to those burning questions. A deep heartfelt thank you goes out to all you good folks on the train that helped me get here. The encouragement from everyone, past and present, helped to keep me on track and for that I am grateful. PALTA
  19. It looks new & fresh to me. I like what I see so far! Great job guys!
  20. Congratulations on your 13 years of quitting smokes and thank you for all you do for us all.
  21. Sorry, but I don’t know. Maybe @MarylandQuitter know?
  22. NOPE!! for Friday
  23. Gday If you get ashma or have COPD you’ll know about Prednisone. It’s a steroid that works really well to clear your chest. I’m sure it’s universally hated. Makes you feel shaky and a bit spacey so I’m glad they keep you on it for a short period. It works well and fast. The tablet that QG is possibly a hormone blocker used for breast cancer treatment. Another version exists for prostate cancer. So unless you’d like to get in touch with your feminine side, it’s not used for lung cancer.
  24. I'm doing okay I hope you are well @SD2026 thank you for asking. Your gonna get that message that I quit 24 hours 😏
  25. Gday You are indeed the most cruel and heartless person….. In the southern clims were not fully out of winter yet and will not be seeing fruit like that for many months. That picture will haunt my mind now till I get to bbq some. Sigh….
  26. This is not dinner but an after dinner dessert. This time of year where I live it's peach season and there's a ton of local peach farms all around this area. I'm not a particular fan of eating just a peach but one of my fav desserts is BBQ'ed peaches. Just cut the peach in half, pit it then sprinkle some cinniman powder on the open halves and throw them on the Barbie for8-10 mins; just long enough to soften them and get a few grill marks on 'em. Then serve them on a plate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with a lttile real maple syrup. The end result is truly a delectable delite Juices from the peach caramelized, melting ice cream and just a hint of the maple syrup. Yum-yum! The outer skin of the peach slides right off once the peach is cooked👌
  27. I wonder if there is a medication that they give after the radiation is done? My mom had a very small cancerous nodule in her breast back in 2017, and after the doctor removed it, she put my mom on a pill for 5 years. My mom didn't need radiation, just the lumpectomy and the pill for 5 years, so maybe there is something that they will give you?
  28. Waiting for results is always a nerve wracking experience. I’m sure when you get them , they will explain all your questions In my Thoughts P ❤️
