Time To Form A Posse

Featured Replies

I was struck by 2 outlaws at 7am this morning. They broke into my storage unit and stole two Honda generators, my ass kicking Stihl brush cutter and a few more things. I am so pissed right now. I feel so violated. They got them on camera but of course the camera was crappy. Figures ..... And so to these two dip-shits I say have a nice weekend and I hope your houses burn down.

PS .. The only thing I want to smoke right now is their two asses. .... BAT OUT!

Thanks buddy I knew I could count on you.

Aww this makes me angry...Robbin scum bags...I know how yoiu feel bat..

We were in bed one night when thieves decided to visit us..thankfully we didn't wakeup..who knows what might have happened..

They took all they could carry  out from downstairs..I was scared to go to sleep for months....it still gives me chills ...

I'm sorry buddy...

Right now because of the holidays, the thieves are working extra hard. The rest of us are buying stuff, working more hours, preparing for the holidays etc. So, according to Murphy's law, some son of a bitch needs to ruin it. Where i work, not a day goes by during the holidays when someone isn't trying to walk out with stuff.

Did other units get hit? Also, not sure if this matters now but was a police report filed? Not that the police can really recover stolen goods but the insurance may need the report.

All that aside, it just sucks cause one cannot have much of anything cause some klepto thinks it is theirs to steal. The world hates a thief. It is why my neighbor has three Cane Corsos running around her property. Big mean ugly sons of bitch dogs.

Wouldn't you just LOVE to been able though to walk in while the thieves were at work, pull your "protective piece", and be like, "Alright now what the f*** you doing...?" just to watch them crap their pants and beg you not to call the PD? Smoking? I am guessing we are talking NOT Benson and Hedges but instead Smith and Wesson?

Vigilante justice?  Hell yeah!

Not the Stihl.  :40_rage:   I'm in.  Besides, I could use a break from protecting arctic turf.  A$$hole criminals.

Sorry this happened, Bat.  I hope they find them.

Sorry to hear Bat. I know the feeling. Our house got robbed about 4 years ago right around this time of year. Those bastards even stole wrapped Christmas presents. The feeling of violation was the worst part of it I think. Hope everything was insured. I remember you posting pics of that bush cutter not long after I joined up here :44_frowning2:

Karma is a biotch... they will get their's!!!

Yes police came and nobody else was hit. Camera showed they made straight for my unit. Nobody else but me knew the contents or so I thought.

Yes the Stihl ... My new Stihl chainsaw was sitting next to it and they missed it thankfully.

They’ve been watching. Someone told someone about your stuff.

This sh*t makes me so angry. I’m so tired of it.

Thieves - lowest of the low. Too lazy (or drug addicted) to work for their own stuff :93_punch:

Keep an eye on Craigslist or sites like that for your stuff. You never know. Some thieves are also stupid!

If they do turn up on craigslist and Bat sees the ad, what would be the next course of action? I mean that would increase Bat's chances of recovery AND perhaps the creeps getting busted?

It is likely they have a lot of stolen shit on CL if they put the generators and Stihl on there.

Call the cops and identify your property 100%. If they don't follow up on it then yes, you're screwed but at least you tried. Crooks are dumb fuc*ers a lot of the time. I had a car stolen and the cops found parts of my car 1 1/2 years later. I went to court and testified against that scumbag and he went away so, better to try than just do nothing.

We are pretty lucky. We solve a lot. Some get everything back. Some get screwed too.

I love getting confessions from them. You have to give them an "out" and then they admit to it all. Not their fault because.....and they will sing. People are dishonest about everything from their age to their taxes to their tipping waitress, but nobody likes to admit it without an excuse to why...lost job, got hooked on pills then went to heroin, but nobody sits down at the table and says "yeah I am a dirt ball thief".  Once they write it all down I tell them "thanks for cooperation" and that statement is like the rope in the court room.  Lawyer will say " what do you got? ". Written confession.   Case closed.

Sorry this happened to you, Bat.  Too bad you're not in Bakon's territory. I bet he'd have a confession AND an apology from those dirt bags before long.  There's no escaping karma, universal law or whatever you want to call it.  They'll get theirs. Sooner or later.

I’m moving my stuff to a new location before I have no stuff to move. I went to check out a new storage facility and when I drove up the lady that owns the storage place had a 45 strapped to her hip and a 12 gauge boom stick on her golf cart. I’ve found my new storage place :)

Sarge has a rather large collection of guns (filling more than one gunsafe)  ... and had to move ammo storage to the basement for fear of collapsing floor joists ( lead and copper are *heavy* when aquired by-the-pallet-load )

Just say the word ...

Check offerup too..... it seems a lot of thieves use it......  I've yet to buy anything on it for this reason, but will regularly check it in accordance with my local police departments blotter for stolen items...

The worst thing about being a thief is that society seems to have NO sympathy except maybe where someone is stealing food or another survival mean.

Think about this - even other groups in society's lowest rungs might band together but thieves - ONLY their work-partner if they have one.

Plus when you get caught and people hear about it - they will not call you a thief, they will laugh and call you a "dumb ass".

For craigslist and offerup, would that be a good bargaining point to tell the seller, "You probably stole it anyways, why not just take less $$$?"

The investigator for the Sheriffs Dept called me and said all the pertinent info (serial #s and such) were immediately sent out onto a national database and social media. Hopefully since they got the info out right away after the theft happened will help.
